Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
What doesn't get announced? Do they announce you coming up to the plate?Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
They want to feel like your actually playing the game. You cant hear announcers while playing so only thing you hear is game sounds. It is cool but yea kind of boring. More to hear about yourself from announcers lolComment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
There's not that much about you that the announcers call. You get excerpts for notable milestones and a comment pre-game if you won anything the year before or if the advancement goals have been completed/failed.Comment

I know that if I was a baseball player I wouldn't hear the announcers on the field, but I'm not a pro baseball player, I'm a guy on a couch playing a game. Honestly I felt more immersed in the mode with the commentary than I do without it. The lack of commentary is distracting.
They could have had the commentary, AND made sure that it also references your player more often, and I feel like that would have been a better setup than what they gave us. Honestly It
just feels like I'm playing an unfinished game.Comment

So made MLB June 15th of 2013. 12K points basically made it possible. Dont know if i want to keep playing this one or start a new one without using the 12K points.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Either I'm missing something, or there's no way to change the RTTS batting camera.
edit - Nevermind. Last game, the camera stayed the same no matter what I set it to. Started a new game and it is changing now.Last edited by metal134; 03-05-2013, 11:42 PM.A screaming comes across the sky...Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I get what they were trying to do, I just don't think it works. The random zooming into the press box after every play, regardless of whether or not they have something to say is odd to say the least. I also don't need to constantly hear a third baseman saying "c'mon guys, lets go!"

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I guess I'll create Colin Kaepernick then :P
I just came on to post the exact same thing, and find out if there is just an option I am missing to turn commentary back on. If there's not... I don't think I have any interest in playing this mode anymore. And I was SUPER excited to play it this year. But the complete lack of commentary, especially when I am coming to bat, is terrible. And the lack of a broadcast-style presentation while I'm walking to the plate? So I can rotate a camera halfway around my player while I watch him go through the same animation 600 times a season? No thanks. Please for the love of God tell me there's a way I can get the audio and presentation options back. This mode would be everything I want it to be with last year's commentary and presentation and some of this year's improvements. But seriously, I cannot possibly play through multiple months, let alone multiple seasons, with no in-game commentary about my player. This is a mode-killer for me.
But from the sound of it I'm glad I'm sitting out this year. I know for sure the lack of commentary and the presentation as you describe it would bother and bore me very quickly. Don't know whey they made it mandatory to not have commentary...those that wanted it could've just turned the commentary off...and everyone is happy?
And I've only played Rtts since MLB 09...I don't touch franchise. Hopefully they bring back the commentary and old presentation for next year. Or better yet...patch it in.Last edited by R9NALD9; 03-06-2013, 04:04 AM.San Francisco 49ers

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I'm brand new to this game, but I love baseball sim-style. I'm not ignorant to the rules at all honestly, but I have been picked off/caught in a pickle/ not run properly around the bases for every single game of my 10 game career lol.
Also, I found that my equipment varies from game to game... Sometimes I have two sleeves of blue, and other times it's how I wanted it with the compression sleeve and wristband with my number. Oh well though. Going to cut them some slack. Hopefully it gets fixed.
On a positive note I'm batting about .357 so far. I've had 4 hitless game, and the rest I'm batting at least .400-.800. Pretty inconsistent I guess!
Oh well. Loving the detail so far!
Since when can you warm up??haha.
Yes. I am very new.
I had avoided all The Show news being a sad XBOX 360 owner and now I finally get to experience itComment
