Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread

I just made a new RTS, and I have my player wearing glasses with warrior eye paint...but when hes playing he doesn't have either on and his face is plain. Any one else have this happen to them??

Actually it's not. That's the actual system in place for regression and progression. There is no work around for people who don't like it (including me) in RTTS but the devs have stated its not a bug. Should it be tuned? Absolutely. But it's not a bug

Do your RTTS player regress after hitting 33 like players in season mode?

Just started my very first RTTS as a centerfielder and got drafted by the Cardinals. Went 3-4 with a HR in my first game for Springfield.

What's the longest you can play in one sitting before you want to throw your controller across the room. Started my first 3 games hot today but then it was k city. I can play most games for long periods of time but I feel the longer you play this game the more you struggle. Anyone agree?

NOTHING is worse than being in the majors on the bench in RTTS. You never play, so you never get enough points to increase anything but the advancement goals. SO frustrating. They won't trade me either.

It also depends on difficulty. if you are playing on all star difficulty, that is the difficulty in AAA. AA will be veteran and then MLB will be Hall of Fame. RTTS changes the difficulty as you progress up.

I THINK it might be time to up my difficulty.....

I am in AAA with the Braves....50 games in to the season.....

I am batting around .514, with 13 HR and 21 SB. Since they jacked around with Guess Pitch, I only have 2 walks so far, to go along with probably 30 strikeouts, but my batting average is insane. The amount of fastballs right down the middle I get is nuts. I hit 80% of my first pitch fastballs for basehits. Sometimes I will miss it, or foul it off, so then the second pitch is another fastball piped down the middle, and I smash that one instead. Once I get to 2 strikes though, I am buried, because I can't lay off the junk they throw me low.

But my god, batting over .500 all year long so far, and yet they bat me 6th, and I only play 2 or 3 games in a row before they use the other 3B on the team.

I'm aware that difficulty plays a role but I did not feel it necessary to point it out as it seems obvious. xD However the difficulty level doesn't really change as you progress from AA to AAA, other than the fact the pitchers are obviously better in AAA than AA thus harder to make contact. MLB is the same in that regard only the pitchers are 3x better than AAA pitchers depending on the team.

Press down on the d-pad after the pitcher has selected his pitch (it'll grey out when he has) and your player will call time. This is the workaround for first pitch meatballs and you'll be more likely to see first pitch balls. However you must do this for every first pitch of every at bat in RTTS. Unfortunate but it works for now.

Yeah, that sounds like a real pain. Haha.

I'm trying to hit down on the d-pad before each at-bat. I played half a season swinging at every first pitch knowing its going to be a strike and now my pitch recognition is crap. In MLB 12 I always took the first pitch. This programming error has really ruined my plate approach. Going to take some time using the road to get it back.

It's not a programming error, it's how the game was designed for realism. This isn't T-ball!

When was 90% first pitch strikes real? Name a league, place, situation?
