Anyone else wish the leaderboards for rtts were sortable by difficulty? I know people adjust everything even from level to level, but when I see someone leading batting .600 I just feel like the level of comparison might not be too accurate.

Agree. Anytime I see someone with ridiculous stats I'm like really? I guess each to their own but how can hitting an unrealistic average be fun?BOBTRAIN

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
I have a personal goal of being the first since Ted Williams to hit .400 in my rtts career, however, it would only mean something to me if I felt like it was realistic that I achieved it.Comment

I dig that. I'm hitting .270 in AAA currently (2nd year). Play on HOF. I probably could hit above .300 on All-Star but I enjoy the grind. You think in real life as a 19 year old I'd be in A or AA anyway so I try to strive for realism. Makes it fun for me.BOBTRAIN

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
OK, so I'm playing my RttS pitcher on All-Star. So far he's been dominating AA with a 12-0 record and like a 1.03 era. I simmed the last game and he's definitely getting called up to AAA no matter how badly the last game goes.
But here's what's worrying me. The previous two games I was smoking people and striking out with good mixes of my 4-Seam, Sinker, and Slider. And then I pumped my individual pitch control and break up to 70 each from a really low number (something like 60 control but 35 break on everything).
Now with the larger break I'm finding the pitches are harder to control and guys are getting good contact off them. So I assume bigger break means less control (makes sense) even though I also upped the control.
Kind of has me scared because these meatballs are going to get pounded in AAA for HRs.
My question is should I raise the individual pitch control even more or raise my BB/9 from 71 to higher - or even H/9 up?
Which is probably more important?Comment

I've gone through a couple of offseasons where I haven't received a contract offer and had to try out for a team. Is this a bug or what?Comment

I just don't get where's the fun in playing Rookie/Veteran with ajusted sliders just to bat .500 with 100 HR a season.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Haven't updated my new player in a while.
Created a SS called Rip Eagle. Drafted by the Cardinals. I moved up from AA to AAA within the first month, was in AAA until about 2 weeks before the MLB All-Star break, and Furcal went down with a injury and was place on 60-Day DL, so they called me up.
Started off terrible in the majors(I think after 13 games my BA was .62, 1 RBI, and 2 SB).
I'm getting close to the end of the season with about 3 weeks worth of games to play, and my guy is hitting .265, 8 HR, 22 RBI, 23 SB.
Not to bad if you do say so myself.Comment

Oh awesome. Had a perfect game going into the 9th inning with my AA pitcher.
Only to have a guy drop a bunt down to ruin it.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
AA Pitcher. The CPU is killing me. I'll have shut out going into the 7th. But because my teammates can't hit the broad side of a barn when I'm pitching well I get the hook after one hit.
When my pitcher is TERRIBLE is when they decide it's time to give me some run support. But by then I'm tired & worthless. Hope to get called up soon or traded.Comment

Re: MLB 13 The Show: Road to the Show Thread
Year 2020 month of May I am playing for the Padres. I finally broke through for the first time and hit for the cycle and it went down like this ( Single, Double, Grand Slam HR and finally the hardest for me to get a Triple, a cool achievement for me as I have missed on it some many times.Last edited by BSUFAN; 03-24-2013, 08:47 AM.When you come to a fork in the road, take it..... This has been a problem since RTTS was first introduced into the Show. I was hoping it was fixed this year, but it looks like it's not. Hopefully more attention is focused on the off-season part of RTTS in future titles.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment
