Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Hey guys, I've been playing around with a new chise' involving the Padres and have managed to grab Dallas Braden and Derek Holland my first season (now in year 2, simming a ton )

My Padres are somehow in contention for the wildcard and I really need a MLB ready right fielder and / or shortstop , my current guys just aren't cutting it!
I'm at the allstar break and Holland is 3-7 3.00 ERA 71SO in 78.0 IP and Dallas Braden is 4-4 5.43 ERA 50SO.

Willing to trade both of them or either of them individually. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance

P.S.: I'd like to pickup somebody who can hit for avg. but still has some pop in his bat, need an offensive boost to my lineup asap!

In terms of SS; Philly would give you Rollins, Twins would give you Plouffe, Sox would give you Ramirez if you blew them away.

In terms of RF, DeJesus, Dom Brown, Dayan Viciedo. Not the best crop, but I like Dom Brown as an option for you.

I am using the Indians and really want to find a few pieces.

            I was hoping to trade:

            CP - Chris Perez
            SP - Jimenez

            Maybe some others...

Want to get a decent pitching prospect (like Orioles' Bundy, etc.) Would offering those two pitchers play a position prospect make sense/be fair?

Always been a fan of Dom Brown, anyone else you think I could get if I gave 'em Holland? Going to check out the player value as soon as I post this

Want to trade Denard Span off my Nats to get MR depth or maybe package a bottom of the rotation starter and upgrade a SP. Anyone have an idea of who might bite on that deal?

                Thanks in advance

Nah, that crop of teams doesn't really match up well with your needs.

I looked at the spread sheet and saw that a Carlos Pena deal would be realistic only at the trade deadline. I completely agree but he is getting old and his contact is poor. Chris Carter and Brett Wallace are good up coming first basemans so I was thinking of just trading Pena for some prospects, nothing too great. Is this a good idea or do any of you guys have any ideas for anything else I should do?

I'm using the O's for Franchise until I start a real one with the Nats when the OSFM comes out. Who should I trade for and who should I give up?

Alright, I'm editing the OP and purpose of this thread.

Please, to everyone, be specific in what you're looking for and what you're giving up.

Yeah I'm thinking of trading him rather than releasing him. I will try to get 1 or 2 prospects. Like you said probably C potentials.

Playing a franchise with the Chicago Cubs and am looking to do a slow build to a winner. So first things first, in year one, I want to deal away Alfonso Soriano and Carol Marmol and their contracts. Looking to pickup some young talent, mainly looking for outfielders, pitchers or a third baseman. Any idea what I could go with?

Soriano to the Yanks for Phil Hughes?
