    3. Trade 1 - Carlos Correa could start next yr.
    4. Trade 4 - Have no idea who D.J. Davis is.

Thanks for the input fellas! OK, so it appears that the trade with KC may have some legs, but needs tweaking. It seems AC's issue was that I was getting a bit greedy with quantity, but C_Shearman likes it...what about if I dropped one of the players coming from KC? So...

Astros get (pick 2): Yordano Ventura + Greg Holland + Jarrod Dyson
Royals get: Jordan Lyles + Erik Bedard + Kyle McClellan

Any ideas on which 2 from KC would be the most workable? I like the idea of Lyles, and it might seem strange to deal him, but I can't pitch with him worth a lick, lol. I guess he's my "milk carton."

    As for the LAD deal:

    Astros get: Dee Gordon
Dodgers get: Brad Peacock + Brendan Ryan

AC liked it, but C_Shearman's issue was that Correa would be ready next year. With all do respect, I'm pretty sure Correa will need more than 1.25 years (from prep to pro) in MiLB to be ready. Though I think your point is valid in that Dee and Correa are both young and there could be a positional blockage issue. But, Dee could always shift to 2B, CF, LF. I would plan on developing him into a jack-of-all-trades type. If he can play SS, he can handle every position but catcher (in theory). However, I wouldn't bring Correa up until 2015 at the earliest (if this makes a diff to you C_Shearman).

    As for the Nats deal...

    Astros get: Wilson Ramos
Nats get: Jason Castro + Takashi Saito

I actually agree this may be a stretch. Though I want Ramos, and Castro is young/valuable/defensive oriented, and Suzuki is actually starting and doing well for WAS, I'd probably need to add in one more piece of significant value (a prospect, not Saito) to make this work. Another C I have my eye on would be Michael McKenry of the Pirates, who'd come cheaper...not exactly the defensive catcher of Ramos/Castro quality but more pop...any ideas if that would fly here instead of Ramos?

The Blue Jays trade has been ruled out lol. I get the message..Not fixable I don't think. Just need to find some taker for Carlos Pena...any ideas on potential fits/returns if Pena is hitting ~.240 with 10-15 HRs at the deadline? I realize I won't be getting much at all.

I realize this is a long/involved post, but any feedback on any or all of these hypotheticals is most appreciated guys .

That actually looks pretty solid to me. At first I thought it said De La Rosa, but then I came to my senses, lol.

I've always loved Ross, but not De La Rosa much! Spreadsheet said high C, so I gave them a high C and a pitcher.

Yep, and that's part of the reason why your trade was reasonable and not laughed out of the joint! If posters ever catch onto that spreadsheet on the OP, we will have much juicier proposals to dissect in here. Less of the "I want Stanton/Cano/Profar but all my top prospects/players are off limits" types, lol. Sometimes I wonder why people who really want those lopsided trades even bother to feign interest in fairness/realism. I mean the in-game trade logic is perfect for that!...ah, well...

Well being on the trade threads for half a year really teach you alot. Like not to make stupid "Lackey for Trout" type trades. Thank goodness that has never happened lol!

I almost had to take advantage of the trade logic the other day

                  I get: Kemp, Ethier, HanRam

                  I give: Cruz and Beltre

They actually took it, but I didn't save I just wanted to see if it could be done!

Donaldson and A.J. Griffin/Dan Strailly may do the deal. Pittsburgh really likes Alvarez but they like young pitching prospects and Griffin/Strailly could fit behind Cole and Tallion in their rotation.

Texas is pretty high on Ross but also Andrew Bailey... so I could see you getting something really good back from Texas if you added Bailey.

I'm not sure what you are looking for in return but Texas has explored the option of trading for Bailey IRL, so it's very realistic.

imo, you have TONS of options. Sure, Alvarez is highly regarded, but the A's have mad mid-level assets.

Donaldson + Straily for Alvarez + low level 'spect

Michael Choice + Milone for Alvarez

Grant Green + Straily + Reddick for Alvarez + Gregory Polanco

A.J. Griffin + Sean Doolittle + Sonny Gray for Alvarez + Ivan De Jesus

                              etc...etc...

Yeah, as the Stros, not seeing a chance for for B-Mac...would rather go defense-heavy.

I would include Veras for Ramos, but he was one of the first pieces I dealt pre-season (to Detroit for nothing spectacular). My pen consists of a lot of nobodies: Hector Ambriz, Sergio Escalona, Chuckie Fick, Xavier Cedeno (probably the most valuable as a LOOGY), Rhiner Cruz, D.J. Mitchell, Jose Valdez. Saito is my interim-closer in waiting.

I might also open the prospect vault just a touch. I could see adding a piece like George Springer or Nick Tropeano with Castro if I REALLY want to land Wilson Ramos (which I kinda do). I like Castro, but can't hit worth a lick with him. Boy, he and Lyles...could save me a trade or two if I could actually use them!

                              Thanks for the feedback C_Shearman!

Texas is also high on De La Cruz. He is has a high Ceiling but low floor. He could Top a high B in the Show sometime in the near future, but could be a fluke. Aceves gives them depth, and a trade value. Aceves could reel in a high C maybe even a low B if they got lucky. I just see this as a citing trade. For now bailey will stay at his current position of setup man with Uehara.
