Meh, I'd say so, but I don't like the fit, because he's probably moving to 2B, where Cano is. Miller for Pineda I could see, though.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

      Update:
Traded Griffin for Morneau in my A's franchise.
Then got Elliot Johnson, Louis Coleman and Hochevar for Weeks and Seth Smith (Thanks to Totte)
Want to get feedback on before I pull the trigger:
Trading Brandon Moss to the Jays (They were using Maicer Izturis and Rajai Davisas DH ) for Deck Mcguire

      And

Getting Ryan Raburn from CLE who are not in the playoffs for Blake Hasselbrock

      Lineup now is:
      Coco/Chris Young RH vs LH
      Jed
      Reddick
      Morneau
      Freiman DH
      Yoenis
      Elliot Johnson
      Rosales
      Jaso

BN: Hill, Lombardozzi, Young/Crisp, and hopefully Raburn

Rotation: Anderson, Parker, Straily, Milone and Hochevar
Bullpen: Colon, The Beard, Coleman, Doolittle, Cook, Blevins and Balfour

      Hows the team look?

You kinda got ripped. Nothing worth tearing your hair out over but unless Hoch tears it up, bleh.

Who's Hill? Either way, I'd have Young full time in the OF, platoon Coco/Freiman, put Lombardozzi in at 2B, and go for a nice upgrade at SS. Maybe use a guy like Choice/Taylor to find an upgrade.

Cardinals have good prospects. What will I be able to get from them? Would love Taveras and a couple of pitchers..

I'm really back and forth on this... I don't think the Twins would pull the trigger on this deal yet. They don't know if he'll stick at 3rd or convert to a corner OF... Plus the Twins would have more service time for Sano rather than Middlebrooks.
Although in the game, it's probably fair if Middlebrooks is an A.

Rays wouldn't do that trade. Jennings just finally inherited CF from Upton leaving and Hellickson is part of that great starting rotation for Tampa. They'd trade him in the future when his team control is running out.

Steven Hill as my backup catcher. And I'm guessing I shouldn't start Raburn or Johnson haha.

When you say upgrade at SS, who might you have in mind? Lombar is batting .220 and Elliot is at around .301 right now which I thought was the upgrade, but if theres someone better please let me know! haha

The trade is essentially Jennings+ for TDA. You familiar with DIPS, FIP, xFIP, that whole thing? Hellickson ERA/FIP/xFIP slashline: 3.15/4.45/4.46. 1.16 HR/9. 2.01 K/BB. He's not actually that great.

                http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx...371&position=P

He's a good back end guy, but his ERA luck is gonna run out eventually.

In that case, keep Elliot at 2B and bench Lombar, but get rid of Rosales lol.

If you wanna make a huge splash, there's always Tulo. Maybe Jhonny Peralta as a solid pickup. Jimmy Rollins if the Phils are out of it.

If I were you, though, I'd be looking into a Milone+ for Asdrubal Cabrera trade.

Any ideas on getting some front line pitching for the Twins. My rotation is a disaster, and I could use a decent arm for the pen as well. I could definitely spare one of my better bats at this point with the bizarre emergence of Aaron Hicks

I like the Griffin for Morneau trade mentioned previously.

Playing as the Red Sox. Trade deadline 2014, we're barely ahead of the Rays, so I needed some umph. Enter Giancarlo Stanton.

                          Boston Red Sox receive:
                          Giancarlo Stanton/RF
                          David Dahl/CF
                          Brad Hand/SP

                          Miami Marlins receive:
                          Jacoby Ellsbury/CF
                          Rubby De La Rose/SP
Manuel Pulido/1B (Generic CPU generated play with an A pot)

I know I fleeced them. Anyways, how do you add more than three slots to a trade? I wanted to give them 2-3 more A prospects, but I couldn't.
                          NFL: New York Giants
                          MLB: Oakland A's
                          NBA: New York Knicks
                          EPL: Arsenal
                          NHL: Detroit Red Wings

I don't think the Marlins would want Ellsbury over a prospect. I also don't think you could fairly get Dahl in return. For more spots, you have to do 2 separate trades.

Yes I am familiar with that. I just don't see the Rays trading him ATM. I'm not saying he's ace type but he's behind Price and Moore. Plus TDA has the injury concerns and while the Rays do need a catcher, they seem content with Jose Molina and they're really high on Jennings.
