Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Hmmm. So you removed Belisle and Chatwood and subbed in Betancourt? But then again you downgraded from Crow to Collins too... I think your proposal is pretty close, and I might just toss in a C-level MI prospect if you have one due to Betancourt's age. Value-wise this is pretty good, and in your 'chise's universe the realism is ok as well.
Yeah, but he also said Fowler's value has been tempered by injuries/performance, and even at full health he's what mid B + low B? (though he might need a value increase on the sheet if he keeps hitting for power IRL) I figure Yordano Ventura would eat into that quite a bit since he's conservatively a high B, possibly low A.
And Herrera + Collins > Betancourt I would think, even though Herrera is not on the spreadsheet, I'd argue low B at minimum. Though Betancourt does have nice stats in his 'chise.....
So, in short, whatever excess value Fowler has in comparison to Ventura, would imo be made up for by getting 2 solid relievers for Betancourt.
But, yeah I agree with you and think he's pretty close, at least giving up near equal value, with or without adding in a lower 'spect.
As for TDA, you are a Jays fan, right? lol
I don't quite understand what your asking since I am in the first season of my chise but he has been reasonably healthy this year (enough at bats to qualify for batting title) He got hurt early in spring training and game back week 3 of the season and has been healthy since.Last edited by mgcst5; 04-25-2013, 09:36 PM.Comment

I am high on Ventura so I think although I might be getting shorted a little bit I am content with this deal because sometimes teams get a little shorted on deals so this works for me.Comment

They are most definitely in need of infielders. Miller over Franklin, though."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Thanks, and thanks for the trade advice. So far so good as the Royals hopped to first place and my bullpen is looking better and younger. I will probably be back on to seek advice for the trade deadline.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Just at the end of spring in my rangers franchise, looking to add a good young OF as Gentry had a terrible spring (.180, 0hr, 3rbi)... Would like Gerado Parra from the dbacks...
How does this look...
Dbacks
OF Gerado Parra
Tex
SP Justin Grimm (24yo, low B)
2B Rougned Odor (19yo, low B)
Is that enough, or should add someone else maybe RP Joe Ortiz (22yo, Mid-High C)... If not Parra anyone similar I could get for about what I'm offering???RED SOX NATION!!!!Comment

Add another B prospect like Neil Ramirez and you could get Cameron Maybin instead
EDIT: Grimm and Odor could probably get you Dexter Fowler as well if you prefer himLast edited by Totte; 04-26-2013, 12:47 AM.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.
