Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I think JJ + Izturis for Seager + Lee is pretty close. Maybe if you toss in a mid-C 3B/C/RF/SP prospect (one of those positions, prospect is not required to play all of them), that might get it done. I'm sorta skeptical about guys getting traded 1 year after being drafted (Seager was a 2012 draftee right?), but value-wise I think this works. And with the Dodgers, who really knows anyway? No one saw that Red Sox trade coming last year."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
This requires a little bit of revisionist history.....
If I purchased the Mets prior to the season and traded David Wright to say Baltimore (and he agreed to singing the extension with the new team) would he be worth a top 5 prospect (my created CF). Not Harper/Trout/Strasburg level but maybe Tavera/Profar/Myers hype.
I'm obviously aided by the fact that the Orioles have a decent CF already, but insert any team on the brink of contention with a great CF (Dodgers/Pirates) etc.) I can put the prospect on any team, but since Wright was from Va I liked the story line better..Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
This is a unique one. So you are trying to figure out if you could trade David Wright to BAL straight up for you? Not really sure if anyone can analyze this fairly without your ratings. Obviously the realism is shot since you are putting yourself in game (and the Mets will NEVER trade Wright). But, why not? Go for it. Heck the Mets could probably use an outfielder like you. If you can send a 3B prospect to the Mets also, even better.
Obviously IRL/Sim folks would never know he was rated "87" he'd just be a Top 5 power hitting CF prospect.
Orioles get great 3B. JJ moves to 2B and Manny to SS. Mets get a franchise cornertoneComment

Never say Lindor and JJ in the same sentence again. Probably a fair value would be Paulino and AguilairLast edited by hradekbr; 05-01-2013, 12:55 PM.Comment
