Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Trades are possible again...
I'm one month into the Rangers franchise I put so much effort into trying to start, and Olt (avg .319 with 7 HR and 30 RBI in 31 games) looks ready to call-up. I want to put him at first so that he gets playing time, so I am moving Moreland (avg .175 with 2 HR and 9 RBI in 27 games). Here are some thoughts:
Moreland to the Rockies for LeMahieu (avg .240 with 1 HR and 3 RBI in 29 games at AAA)?
Or
Moreland to the Astros for Bobby Borchering (avg. 289 with 2 HR and 12 RBI in 24 games at AA)?Mavericks

He's a C. I think a Mid-C, but I'm not %100 sure.
LeMahieu a Mid C on the spreadsheet. I think I would prefer him over Borchering. I'm looking for a 1B/3B prospect to replace Olt in AAA when I call him up. Gallo's not even close to being ready to make the move from AA to AAA.Mavericks

Would LAD be a realistic spot for A-Rod to be traded to? If not, is there anywhere I can dump this waste of salary? I don't want to get anything for him, his salary gone is more than enough. Oh and he is producing fairly well and the dodgers are making a championship push.Comment

I would probably send him to an AL team. Makes most sense to me to have him at DH for someone. See if someone has a big slugger injured for awhile that is making a playoff push and maybe they would take him?Denver Broncos

The Rays would make some sense but would they take on his contract? IMO Freidman's too smart. A's are too cheap. Blue Jays don't have the budget room (but they'd sadly be a fit). The only real AL fit I can think of would be Los Angeles, so that Trumbo/A-Rod could rotate between 3B/DH/1B, with Pujols rotating between 1B/DH."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Angels make some sense. Also maybe the Tigers? Rangers? White Sox? Mariners? It would really depend on standings and injuries, but I could see possible fits with those teams as well.Denver Broncos
