Mariners have enough DH types and Seager at 3rd.

Rangers have Moreland/Berkman/Beltre but they could work. Moreland for A-Rod?

White Sox have Keppinger at 3rd, and Konerko/Dumn at 1B/DH.

    Tigers have Miggy/VMart/Fielder.

    You mad?

Yeah, I see your point, it's hard trying to find a fit for him.

I'm not surprised you would say this lol. No one wants A-Rod on their team... but say they are in a playoff push. It's a loaner to try to get another big bat in their lineup for a playoff run. Doesn't compare to Hamilton's situation.

Lol, we ended up winning that one far and away, cost Reagans or whoever their job IIRC.

          Isn't A-Rod's deal long term?

Even if the Angels were in contention, there is still no way. All of the fans would **** a brick if we got him. It would be in line with what we've done recently, but that move would be ridiculed so bad

Agreed lol. Like I said earlier, it would probably be easier to find a fit if someone like a DH/3B type went down with an injury AND that team was in a playoff race.

Seems as though the Rangers and Angels would be decent fits for AL teams... I could see the Rangers pulling the trigger depending on how their players are performing.

Yeah, but we got draft pick compensation for Franky McFrankFrank Francisco and ended up with Matt Smoral. Win.

If Berkman faltered or Moreland didn't improve I could see that, yeah.

Yes, I think he is signed through 2016. I guess it is somewhat similar to Hamilton, except A-Rod is already 37 and could retire any season.

Yeah, but would the Angels really take that risk?

Pretty sure they coded it in that they won't retire until their contract is over

Heck idk, you suggested them haha.

The reason why I wouldn't really compare it to Hamilton is that the Angels would be paying for 1 or 2 years of his contract as a platoon player with Pujols and Trumbo.

Hamilton is locked up for 5 years and the Angels are paying all of it from day 1.

Meh, it's not the greatest fit. Only real fits I see right now are LAD/TEX/MIA after reconsidering.

I know it's been rumored over the off season, but do you really think Loria is crazy/stupid enough to sign A-Rod at this point? They just dumped a ton of salary, and I can't imagine what fans they have left would be thrilled to see him. The Dodgers seem like the best fit to me since they're more than willing to spend money to win and their offensive production at third base IRL has been laughable.

Yeah the Dodgers wouldn't be a bad fit at all. Luis Cruz had a pretty solid year last year for them at 3B, but this year he is off to an extremely bad start.

I would check to see how Cruz is doing for them in the franchise and if he's not doing exceptionally well then the Dodgers would be a good fit.

A little off topic, but why don't the Dodgers put Hanley at 3rd and Gordon at SS? That would be an even more deadly lineup with added speed.

Crawford, Kemp, Hanley, Gordon would all be 30 steal threats.
