Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
In my 'chise with the Angels I had like a week or so where Trumbo and Trout had around a .600 avg....it was insane, 2 games were against the DisAstros, but still.
For what his real life value is he plays wayyyyyy better in the game not sure whyLast edited by Shock1011; 05-29-2013, 09:08 PM.| Brewers | Packers | Angels | Bucks | Badgers |Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Dee Gordon for Dozier and Dan rohlfing a B potential catcher. Cuz they are in need of a catcher bad. 3 on the DL
Is this a fair trade?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
The problem with this trade is it assumes that Tyler Colvin actually has value. As I've been trying to say, he's a replacement-level player thrust into a favorable situation. Look at his HOME/ROAD SPLITS if you don't believe me...Luhnow would be immediately fired if he did this one. Both Singleton and Tropeano have value.Denver Broncos

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
After I had some time to sit down and go over rosters and look through the spreadsheet, and with a little help from some of WTNY'sprevious 'chise trades, I came up with the following trades:
Astros Receive: 3B Mike Olt
Rangers Receive: SP Bud Norris, OF Fernando Martinez, SP Nick Tropeano
Astros Receive: SS/2B Dee Gordon
Dodgers Receive: SP Brad Peacock, SS Jonathan Villar
Astros Receive: OF Gerardo Parra
Diamondbacks Receive: 3B Matt Dominguez, C Max Stassi
Astros Receive: SP Christian Friedrich, INF D.J. LeMahieu, OF/1B Tyler Colvin
Rockies Receive: CP Jose Veras, 1B Brett Wallace, SP Lucas Harrell
Astros Receive: C Wilson Ramos , SP Ryan Perry
Nationals Receive: C Jason Castro, OF J.D. Martinez
I know it's a lot, and not at all "realistic" that the Astros would make this many moves, but I wanted to tackle this franchise in a unique way. Let me know what you guys think. As always, appreciate the input!MLB 13 The Show Dynasty -- Mile High Magic Returns: A Colorado Rockies Dynasty Is BornComment

The Gordon deal is fine.
The Parra deal works.
It's a no go on the Rockies deal if you ask me. Veras, Harrell and Wallace ain't no players to write home about and you're getting one of the best Rockies minor league pitchers in return (Friedrich). That doesn't add up plus you're getting LeMahieu and Colvin as well. If you break it down value wise you've got three C's (Wallace, Veras, Harrell) for two C's (Colvin and LeMahieu) plus a High B (Friedrich). Add another really good prospect going back to the Rox. Highly doubt Friedrich would be moved for spare parts though and only in a deal for an established major league with a good track record.
The Nats deal with Ramos is fine.Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Not touching the 1st one
I did Peacock/Brendan Ryan mostly because I already had traded for Ryan and he didn't work out. But this is a fine variation of that.
Parra deal. I think I had Corbin in it too, but this should be ok.
I think the Rockies one is ok, but I'd send a different piece than Veras. I'd save Veras to deal to a team with a terrible closer (Cubs, Tigers, Mets, etc..). Not sure how you feel about Jarred Cosart, but you could replace Harrell with him and this would fly.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Okay so I have decided to try play all 162 games with a team, I used a number generator to pick a number between 1 and 30 in the order of the manage roster screen and came out with the Angels... Great lineup and decent pitching and bullpen but I have no bench I need a MI/UTIL guy and at least one backup OF... Don't want to spend too big mainly looking for young guys in the Low B - Mid C range... Here's a list of targets I like, in preference order with what I believe to be fair price... (I know it is unrealistic to trade so early on but Oeltjen and Romine just won't cut it in my bench... Just looking for fair...)
CF Jordan Schafer for SP Alfonso Alcantara (19yo mid C)
CF Eric Young Jr. for CF Randal Grichuk (21yo mid-low B) - this trades fills 2 needs for me
CF Quintin Berry for SS Eric Stamets or 2B Alex Yarbrough (both 21yo, High C)
CF Darin Mastroianni for SP Eswarlin Jimenez (21yo, High C)
2B Jordany Vladespin for SP Alfonso Alcantara - would be great to go with EYJ trade
Now that I look at it, are the EYJ and Vladespin trades fair??? They would both fit perfectly in my plans... If not i'll keep working on others...RED SOX NATION!!!!Comment

Those are perfectly fine, go for it. Valdespin and EY Jr are under-the-radar-guys so the price isn't very high.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Thanks for the quick reply, yeah it's thier versatility that I'm looking for as the angels have very little outside of their main 8-9 guys in the lineup and they had to be cheap because they don't have much of a farm to work with either... This is my first ever attempt a playing all 162 so wish me luck haha...RED SOX NATION!!!!Comment

I figured the first one would be all, but I wanted to toss it out there.
I'll iron out the Colorado deal a little more and see what I come up with.
Appreciate the help!
EDIT: How about SP Kyle Weiland, SP Jarred Cosart, and 1B Brett Wallace to Colorado for Friedrich, Colvin, and LeMahieu?
Norris, Tropeano, and Domingo Santana for Olt.
And, how about Jimmy Paredes and Che Hsuan Lin to BAL for Jair Jurrjens and Brian Matusz?Last edited by DaBull_33; 05-30-2013, 08:48 AM.MLB 13 The Show Dynasty -- Mile High Magic Returns: A Colorado Rockies Dynasty Is BornComment

Weiland + Cosart + Wallace for Friedrich, Colvin, LeMahieu seems fair, but I wouldn't pull the trigger because of Cosart and his potential. I'm more going off 'realism' more than anything else:
- Friedrich is 25, hasn't been healthy and hasn't proved much when he is.
- Colvin is okay. 27. Had a good year last year; could use a change of scenery after struggling so far this season.
- LeMahieu is someone I like a lot - has good potential. Versatile. Primary 2B where Altuve is, however. I think he alone could makes this trade fair.
Weiland and Wallace have both had opportunity IRL and just can't put it together - a change of scenery is probably best. Cosart has good potential as a cheap mid-rotation guy, or possible addition to the pen' (before the season the Astros said closer is a possibility. He's pitching well in the starter role).
---
Norris + Trop + Santana for Olt is a toss-up. I didn't get into the Olt debate, or whatever it was, but he is 24 and struggling. I believe he was in AAA before heading to the DL? I'd be worried he is the next Brett Wallace personally. Could be good though if given regular playing time. I like Santana a lot, but he would have to go for Olt.
---
Paredes + Lin for Jurrjens + Matusz is a trade I would do if I'm the Astros.Last edited by Coper3000; 05-30-2013, 09:37 AM.Comment
