Whats his stats look like? Ike is on the border of available and not available. I kinda want him too if I don't get Napoli.

I'm about 15 games in and he's at about .240/3 or something bad like IRL.

I think a trade for Davis might happen. He's sucked the past two years, but the Mets still believe in him. I give it a go if he's still horrible in July.

0% Realism. Sorry, but especially if he was injured, he gets the benefit of the doubt. Heyward IRL seems to be a streaky player anyway (with streaks lasting up to a year, lol).

I know, I know probably sacrelige to a Blue Jays fan, but is there more of an over-hyped player in baseball than Brett Lawrie? Probably, but not many. This guy just can't stay on the field, and when he does...look out for a helmet flying at you!

I know I was taken in by the hype last year, added him to my fantasy team, and was really regretting it. And he's hurt again.....

Not wanting to get into a thing, just curious as a non-Jays fan, but what is it that Lawrie does really well? Or is it more tools/projection/athleticism at this point?

What do you think I could get for Garza or Villanueva? For Garza spreadsheet says two High B's(not having a great year but not terrible at all). And for Villanueva it says two High C's--but he is having a FANTASTIC year, so do you think I could get a Mid B or Low B and a high C? Nats or Braves could be options, or maybe the Angels in a trade headlined by Richards, with other players for Garza? Reds involving Daniel Corcino? Royals headlined by Ventura? Realistic? Philles Biddle and a Mid B for Garza? Fair? Teams/players I could go after?
2 high C's is already max value for Villanueva. You could get more for Garza obviously.

Phillies, Nats, and Reds have some of the best rotations in baseball, so not sure why'd you'd do that. The Angels has always been a good place for Garza. He could get you Richards and another piece. The Royals are only good if contending (meaning: leading the division by a handful of games in the middle of the year, not 2 games out in May).

I think it's best to approach these by asking yourself what/who do you want for these players first, then come here and ask if it's doable. If you're asking people to tell you which players to get, I mean, that's really up to you.

I don't think so, sorry. Ike Davis was hitting under .200 for a large chunk of last season and is still in their plans. This is a make-or-break year for him though, meaning, if he sucks all year, you could probably get him after the season. We already know the Mets and Jays aren't afraid to trade with each other. There are plenty of other retread 1Bman that are more available. Any other ones you are looking at?

          Some possible options:

-Jesus Montero (would actually fit in nicely over Arencibia and the RH platoon to Adam Lind at DH)
          -Logan Morrison
-Tyler Moore (might be available, I like him)
          -Brandon Belt
          -Brett Wallace (yuck)
          -Chris Carter
-Mitch Moreland (would open a space for a certain blocked prospect)
          -Brandon Moss
-Eric Hosmer (probably equal to Ike Davis in availability)
          -Justin Morneau

Philles could put Garza in for Lannan as Lannan has been terrible + Arrayo is 74 OVR now, and lastly the Nats could put him in as a 5th SP over Detwiler-- but out of Garza, could I get a Mid A and Mid B or is that to much?

You know, it gets to a point where he can't be overhyped if everyone keeps calling you overhyped. And quite frankly, I don't see many people on his bandwagon.

It's a mix of unbelievable athleticism, a ~65 power grade, some great contact hitting, and absolutely other-worldly defense. He played most of last year injured; not because of his play style but because John Farrell did this thing were he forced players to play injured *Cough*Rasmus*cough*Encarnacion*cough*Lawrie*cough *Bautista*cough*yougetmydrift*cough and wrecked any future they might have had. Lawrie was hitting .300 for a good portion of last year, and his cup of coffee was one of the most impressive debuts I've ever seen. His defense is also completely ridiculous. His only injuries have been one hit-by-pitch that prevented his call-up, which has nothing to do with being called up; one camera well dive, which should have been much more serious but wasn't actually that bad, only a contusion, but JOHN FARRELL IS A DOUCHE; and one tweak on a swing this year. His 'grit' is kinda overrated. It's not that he plays hard all the time, it's that he's constantly screaming and high off of Red Bull-laced cocaine.

But ignoring his BABIP this year and the fact that he had a later start than everyone else works too haha. Just watch a game of his sometime, get down to Toronto for a game lol. Watch him play third, he's insane. His defense is Longorian. (Only because Beltreian doesn't sound right lol.)

BLAHH. I just love Davis as a ball player. Isn't a specific need. I don't like LoMo, Moore, Belt (unless he's showing good signs), Wallace (wtf bro?), or Moss, I don't think Hoz is realistic, Morneau may be in my plans, and Carter is probably unrealistic. Jesus Montero... let's just say that Seattle is firmly entrenched in my plans.

                Guys, is Eric Hosmer unrealistic?

They won't deal him unless they're terrible and he's terrible. Not struggling, terrible.

I don't really think Brothers is a very realistic option. The Rockies are very high on him and he will probably be the future closer either next year or the year after.

I could see him getting thrown in a fairly major deal, but they aren't just going to deal him for some C prospects.

He stated that the Rockies are underperforming so I figured you guys would do the smart thing and sell high on relievers.

Garza? Only 5-5(manually injured, + the cubs suck) but after my last start with him he made a 3.5 ERA to a 3.12 ERA, so pretty well. 9 K/9 as well.

If you want a good SP and a good 3B, my favorite Garza trade is Corey Seager + Zach Lee from the Dodgers.

So there you have it. If you'll notice, I did go back on what I said about Lee and Seager due to my not realizing how good Garza's been. I'll specify that the Washington ones may not be the most realistic, same with the second Indians one. I don't like the first Indians one for you and I don't like either Yankees one. The Red Sox ones aren't the greatest, either. And I don't think the Dodgers deal Puig. If I were you, I'd go for maybe one of the Rangers packages, the first Blue Jays package, maybe a Braves one, but if I were you, I think I'd go for the LAD one, but that's just me.
That's the advice (most of it) I gave k_mac, so take that how you will.

Yes Hosmer is extremely unrealistic IMO. They just traded one of the best prospects in baseball to get an established starting pitcher in order to win now, and Hosmer is a key part of their future.

I think any reliever other than Brothers is fair game for sure. I think they also value Brothers a lot because he is really their only lefty reliever (other than Josh Outman).

Also, my personal opinion. I don't think the Rockies are going to sell this year regardless of where they are in the standings. They are built to make a run in the next year or 2 and I don't think they are going to jump ship (yet).

If you want me to say why I think they are built for a run in the next year or 2 I can, but I already troll the thread with my Rockies talk too much haha.
