Just in regard to the Cabrera Comment. This is solely based on the prescense of Lindor. IRL he is having a Profar like breakout in the minors (actually a very similar player based on many scouting reports I've read) so people think that he is the future for that team. Since he isn't ready quite yet I agree that the Indians likely wouldn't trade Cabrera unless they fell out of it but it is a much better trade candidate that Tulo for the time being.

A-Cab is definitely more of a trade candidate than Tulo. Tulo definitely isn't going anywhere this year. You'd have to be a good year or 2 into a franchise (at least) to get Tulo.Denver Broncos

That makes sense. I just wasn't really sure why it seemed like Cabrera was so "on the block" but after what you and WTNY said, it makes a lot of sense.

Yeah, saying CarGo sucks in here (or isn't the best of all time) is like sticking a pin into a voodoo doll of G3no. I can just imagine him flinching on reading the comment.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Not gonna let this gem of a post get buried lol.
I think you should stick with your process and sell.
Give Garza to the Red Sox for Matt Barnes and Brandon Workman.
Give Brian Wilson to the Cardinals for Stephen Piscotty.
Give Hairston to the Yankees for Mark Montgomery."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

OK, well a couple of things, you ain't getting no A for Vitters. Just to be clear.
Also, everyone you listed of your players could get something in a trade, except for Soriano. With those stats, you'd be lucky to get a bag of balls.
As for your trade targets, I'm ok with Ellsbury, either Santana, Myers.
All of the other guys are either too good/young to trade based on their team having one bad year or their fan bases are irrationally attached to them (Markakis is a good example).
It would be possible to get Stanton, but it would totally gut you. We're talking Castro + Baez + Soler + Paniagua/Maples + P. Johnson/Blackburn. I would recommend against that.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I agree with you go for selling this year but I advise you to try and get a few guys that are gonna be MLB ready next year to go along with the young prospects. I'm doing the same thing in my Brewers chise. I traded Aramis, Hart and might trade Gallardo as well. To go along with this I've also been mixing in small trades for guys that'll be ready next year so I can try and compete then since the Brewers don't really have any can't miss prospects right now.| Brewers | Packers | Angels | Bucks | Badgers |Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
So while I was saving my Orioles dynasty my apartment lost power (Rolling blackouts.... what is this Iraq...) so my file corrupted. At least I finished a full season with them before it happened.
Anyways I am starting a Cardinals dynasty and want to acquire Dee Gordon.
I know Dee Gordon isn't thought of very highly on here but Pete Kozma is sooooooooooo bad I just can't deal with it (played a few exhibitions and he was like 0-18 with 7 K's....)
Anyways I know he would be at the very least a solid stop-gap and his speed would be a nice addition to the lineup.
What do you guys think I should send there way? Just an FYI besides the obvious players Wong and Carpenter are off limits. I figured that the Dodgers could use prospect depth more than any one position.
Any ideas?Comment
