Unfortunately...force trade or 30 team control are the only 2 ways to use this thread to effectively be realistic in trades. The trade logic isn't always the best in The Show, and if used correctly either method can combat the trade logic quite well.

NYY gets:
RF Giancarlo Stanton (Mid A Mid A Mid A High B High B High C)
SP Ricky Nolasco (Low B High C)
SS Adeiny Hechavarria (Mid B High C)
3B Chone Figgins (or some throw away player)
MIA gets:
C Gary Sanchez (Low-Mid A)
OF Mason Williams (Low A)
SP Michael Pineda (Low A)
SP Phil Hughes (Hi B)
SP Manny Banuelos (Hi B)
RP Mark Montgomery (Mid B)
2B David Adams (Mid B)
SS Austin Aune [Mid-Hi C]
3B Dante Bichette Jr [Mid-High C]
OF Melky Mesa [Mid-Hi C]
What I see you're going for here is a bunch of high-risk, high potential guys. I think that this could definitely work, though. What I see in here with guys like, well, literally all of them except Adams and Hughes, are high-risk, WAY high potential here. I'm lower on Sanchez than most and don't think he sticks at catcher, but I love Pineda/Montgomery. I think that if the Marlins threw back another starter like Eovaldi, LeBlanc, or Alvarez, the Yankees would be more inclined to accept, because their pitching depth is turrible as is and you're killing it even further here.

Yea I'm just saying... don't get me wrong, you would have to still give up a good prospect and a starter...I would write more but then i took an arrow to the kneeComment

More concerned with fairness over realism, but what would it take for the Braves to get Matt Moore?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Alright so I'm terrible with CJ Wilson and looking to move his contract, something like 6 mil a year for 3 years. My options for a straight up trade are Roy Halladay 93 ovr(9 mil but last year) RA Dickey(5 mil a yr for 3 yrs) 95 ovr. Or I could look to trade Wilson for 2 decent starters such as Cashner and Volquez

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I originally was thinking that but figured that with the variance in opinion on Betancourt, some / most might disagree. I originally had Gattis in the trade too, but I think Gilmartin would fit nicely."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I like Betancourt but I'm not sure how high the Rays would be on a no-hit catcher. I would think the Rays would want a higher upside pitcher such as Graham or Wood as opposed to Gilmartin whose ceiling is probably only a number 3 starter.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I think that it should either be Teheran + Betancourt + Gilmartin, or Teheran + Graham/Wood. I think Teheran + Betancourt + Graham/Wood is too much, as even though I'm VERY high on Moore, I'm also quite high on Teheran."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Yeah, as catchers are getting progressively more offense-based, Betancourt's bat worries me.

What about Teheran + Betancourt + Joey Terd? They get Julio to replace Matt Moore, future catcher in Betancourt and a young bat who I feel like fits great with what how the rays operate in Joey T.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Lol I know! I'm not very high on Terds myself, I just feel like he's someone the Rays would be interested in. The way I was looking at it is they trade one pitcher for a pitcher of similar upside, and two players who could be starting position players (C & 1B) within the next year or two.Comment
