    (Heh, I love using that.)
If I'm not mistaken, you used that on me when I was new. Lol

      I probably did.

Zack Lee should be an A. I call shenanigans. Seager would be a GREAT fit in NYY though, Seager + Capuano/Billingsley (one with longer contract)?

Last year in my dynasty Capuano was BEAST MODE. He went 17-3 with a 3. Something ERA and won a Cy Young...

Capuano has no business being in any Cano-related trade....neither does Billingsley to a lesser extent

And I wouldn't yadda yadda away the positional adjustment there...for a SS over a DH this is MASSIVE. I think 2013 will be a very interersting year in seeing what the "real" Ian Desmond line will look like however.

This is before considering that Jordan Zimmermann (a top 25 pitcher in the NL imo) was also acquired in that deal.
Zimmerman was acquired. For like 2 weeks till i realied i made the trade and had no money to sign my draft picks. So i traded him for nothing. Which worked out cause he only ended the season with 8 wins. Desmond hit .290 at SS while Alex Gordon was out. Butler was pretty much my only major right handed threat in the lineup. But Hosmer has progressed nicely so its all good.

Actually, realism is one of the reasons I brought this here, but if you feel that anyone who tries to upgrade a position without giving up a top prospect doesnt want realism, thats your opinion.

If you read my whole post, it would just be a stop-gap until Baez is ready, then either him or Castro will move to 3B, which is a realistic possibility for the Cubs in a few years.

Hence, why I gave an option that didnt include a "star". Nelson would work for a few years while Baez matured. Having Baez, Castro, Barney and Rizzo is the ultimate goal

Come on man, you're ignoring the main part of the deal

NYY gets their future A-Rod replacement who's pretty much a stud

NYY also gets some SP help atm

No reason that's not a good deal

Well, no, it's not what you're doing that's unrealistic, it's who you're trading for. The Pirates have absolutely no reason to give up Alvarez right now, and it's about as unlikely that the Rockies trade Arenado. Plus, imo, you're not giving up enough for either.

And I don't know exactly who Nelson is. Chris Nelson on the Rockies, you mean?

Capuano wouldnt last a day in the AL East and Olt's nothing close to A Rod, I think we over hype him a bit, ya he has crazy raw power, but he strikeouts alot as well. A better defending Mark Reynolds wouldnt be a bad comparison here. Olt's a good player, but him plus Capuano I dont think would be able to get Cano even if he is a rental

I am two weeks in my Brewers franchise and A-Ram just went down. I was thinking of trading for Mike Olt. Who is two low B's. Would trading Hart & Estrada be fair? Hart is one low B & Estrada is two high C's. Thanks.

If the Rangers are contending and making a push for the playoffs, I guess that's a fair deal

I'd even throw in a younger prospect in there, someone in the C+ to B- range (not sure how the Brewers prospects are rated, since I don't have the rosters.)

Depending on what numbers Hart and Estrada are putting up, absolutely. Let their stats determine the value of that prospect. Good call!

That's such an open ended question. What type of player are you looking for? Position? Define 'top prospect'? To which team? Etc.
