As far as the Cargo trade, I actually am targeting a the Red Sox explicitly since they have a deep catching pool and Jackie Bradley Jr.
Then do that trade you have above and add Wong to it and for Cargo I would say JB jr, Swihart, Ranaudo, and Marrero .... A, two B's and a C

I've decided to target Christian Betancourt as my catcher of the future, what would the Rockies have to give up to get him?

He's valued at a Mid C on the spreadsheet, so maybe Pacheco for Bethancourt and another C prospect of your choosing? Not sure about that, though.

          What do you guys think?

Meh that's what his value is but if OP is trying to be realistic I think they'd have to overpay to get him, because I doubt he'll be traded. McCann is expiring and I know Braves fans like the kid. Plus, if Bethancourt were traded and McCann walked, then Evan Gattis would be their every day catcher in 2014, and that's not a good thing lol.

PS you're using the spreadsheet just fine lol

Rafael Betancourt/Juan Niasco/Eric Young Jr. plus a low C prospect?

If Bethancourt is leaving it's probably for a guy like Rutledge.

I don't think the Cards are going to trade Rosenthal and Kelly from an already terrible bullpen IRL. Since you like Kelly's sinker I think a better package would be Wacha, Martinez, Kelly and Adams/Wong. Adams makes more sense because other posters have commented about the weakness at 1st base that the Rockies have and with Adams being blocked by Craig, but it's really up to you.

Well if Rosenthal and Kelly stayed in the pen they'd probably put up 1-2 wins between them max, and Tulo's a 4-5 win guy, so I think they'd do it. I think your listed package is a bit too low.

                    Miller + Wong + Adams + Jenkins?

I just don't think offense is that big of a need for the Cardinals to part with Miller. I know Tulo is a stud, but we already put up a ton of runs. As for the bullpen thing, we've already blown 4-5 saves, and the closer role is far from certain, giving away Rosenthal and Kelly would mean we're basically trying to bash our way to wins.

What about Wacha, Martinez, Adams, Wong, and Kelly/Jenkins 2 low A's plus 3 B's. The OP said he wanted pitching and that adds 3 good pitching prospects to his system. You could throw in an outfielder like Anthony Garcia (B, with good power) also to sweeten the deal more and his power would translate well in Coors.

None of those guys are particularly safe and none of them should be A's.

Last I saw with the OSFM rosters Wacha was a low A and so was Martinez. Has that changed with the newest roster set? My bad, I didn't see the should be part. Still they are both low A's in game though.

I'm not sure but I don't like them too much. They have high ceilings but low floors.

You're looking at at least one of Miller/Rosenthal for Tulo, he's a stud.

The scouting reports I've seen have Martinez, Rosenthal, and Wacha all rated very close to each other, any particular reason you like Rose over the other two? And do you see him as a starter in the future or closer? If it came down to it we'd part with Rosenthal over Miller.

I like Rosenthal a lot more than the other two, the kid's just my kind of pitcher lol. I'm not much of a scout.
