Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

I'm playing as the Rays and am looking for another hitter, and willing to give up Farnsworth (RP - 85), and just about everyone on the team that's below Jennings in Overall Rating, except Escobar, Myers, and Archer. Any ideas on deals that could get done? The main guy I'm trying to trade is Niemann, but there doesn't seem to be much of a market.

      Suggestions for Niemann:

Trade him to the Indians for Ryan Raburn or Drew Stubbs?

To Colorado for Ramon Hernandez + a low C prospect?

Package him and Mike Mongomery/Fernando Rodney for Mat Gamel and Corey Hart?

Your other trades are just fine (maybe a bit on the low end) but Rodney isn't necessary in MIL and Montgomery's a huge lottery ticket. Gamel has a lot of potential and Corey Hart is very good period. This would be a huge rip off for the Rays.

Yeah, I guess I was overvaluing Montgomery's potential and undervaluing Gamel. One of the other two trades should work though, right?

Also, if I'm the Mariners, is a Tyler Marlette for Travis Snider trade realistic in early April?

I have literally never heard of Marlette. Give them a decent SP, they need it.

Ramon Hernandez sounds interesting, but I'm questioning whether or not the Dodgers would do it. I'll see later on, when I get back.

As for Hart, he's obviously a great hitter, but I'd essentially be renting him for a season since he'd be unaffordable after the year.

Are there any decent bullpen prospects I could pick up for Ricky Nolasco if he's having a good year at the ASB?

Was hoping to maybe pick up Arodys Vizcaino from the Cubs (65 overall A pot). I know he's probably more than Nolasco could fetch but Ricky is having a good year and the Cubs are only 5 gb of the wildcard.

                Thanks for the help.

Marlette is a C potential catcher. I really don't need him, and I was thinking to ship him to Pittsburg because theyve only got Martin. Is it ok?

Is Hernandez on the Rockies or Dodgers in your game? If he's with Colorado, do the deal. If he's with LA, add a MI prospect if you can to bolster it.

Chicago might do that deal, it depends on their rotation's performance. Other options are Mikael Cleto (or whatever his name is) from St. Louis, and either Carter Capps (you'd have to add more for him), or Stephen Pryor from Seattle.

No, because Martin is a high quality catcher and they need pitching.

So is Roenis Elias for Snider a good deal then?

Has anyone been able to get Starling Marte at the start of the 2013 season? He's one of my favorite players, got his autograph when he was in Portland in AA ball.

I don't think they'd be getting rid of him now. He's turning into a star left fielder. He and McCutchen in the outfield and top of the lineup is lethal

I'm the Mariners looking to bolster my outfield. I'm pretty sure this trade already got approved a while back, I just want to know if it's a realistic swap in early April?

Wha... I know, I'm trying to help you find the trade, and for Snider it's gonna take a good pitcher, and not the one you listed.

Give them Charlie Furbush and Blake Beaven for Snider and someone half decent, that'd be fair and realistic.
