Cubs wouldnt take just Britton, i tried. I added rosario to the trade block and the angels were interested. Spent about 15 mins figuring out a deal and they were willing and ready to deal Wilson. I really didnt want Wilson because of his 6mil contract, so i flipped him to the brewers who i could see were desperate for a pitcher. the highest rated SP they had was a 81 and nothing notable in the minors.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Just finished the 1st month of my Jays franchise ( using OSFM playing HOF) LMy record is 11-16 and I've got a real issue with Mark Buerhle... He's garbage!
( 0-4) 13.5 ERA ( 5 starts 15.2 IP )
The way I see it, I have 2 options ( both include calling Romero up from the minors ( 3-0, 3.50 ERA )
Option 1- place Buerhle on waivers ( he has no options left and 2 more yrs on his contract) and see if anyone claims him ( kind of like this as it may be the most realistic course of action- but I'd like to get something for him)
Option 2- move him to the pen until I can find a decent trade.
The problem is...
A) not sure which teams would want him? I'm thinking KC or Min? Any suggestions?
B) given his performance ( and the fact that I think he's awful IRL, I don't think he's worth the 2 mid B's on the spreadsheet). I'd like to get as much for him ( preferably a RP or any decent prospect) but want to keep it as realistic and fair as possible.
Any suggestions on what I should do? Waivers or trade? What do you think I can get for him? Ideally, I'd like one of KC's RP's ( K.Herrera )
Sorry for the long post. Been creeping on this forum since I stumbled onto it while waiting for the show release. Waited for OSFM and it was worth it big time! ThanksComment

Go to the roster, and sort by potential. They'll be listed by highest potential first. So, your highest A potential player will be at the top, and so on. From there, you can determine who is high, mid, or low. Does that make sense?MLB 13 The Show Dynasty -- Mile High Magic Returns: A Colorado Rockies Dynasty Is BornComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Wong is the ideal fit for a Royals that's pretty much set at the other positions when it comes to young players/prospects. They've kind of soured a bit on Giavotella and he's still fairly young so a change of scenery might do him some. Sure you're going up Wong but Giavotella will be an around average second baseman so it's not that bad.
If you're not trading Wong, it'd have to be Wacha or Rosenthal. I don't think you want to part with Miller and I wouldn't value Carlos Martinez or Joe Kelly as high as Wacha/Rosenthal/Wong. Matt Adams isn't a fit for the Royals since they have Butler and Hosmer
I did make one move that I'm not sure how fair it was. Traded Motte to the Dodgers for Dee Gordon. I know the Dodgers have soured on him a bit and they're in need of a true shut down closer. Not sure how fair it was, but it sounded better in my head. HahaComment

Value wise looking at the spreadsheet, Herrera or Aaron Crow would work in exchange if you wanna trade with the Royals.

Yeah, you're right. I'd much rather not trade Wacha or Rosenthal, so I guess I'm gonna have to part with Kolten. Either Rosenthanl or Sanchez will be my closer, and if its Sanchez, Rosenthal is getting moved to the rotation along with Wacha. So excited about the pitching possibilities of my Cards.

Motte for Gordon sounds like a gutsy move but I like it. Thinking I might have swung a deal like that myself if I had the guts. It's bold trading away a closer that's won you the World Series but if you can turn Dee Gordon around, he's a dynamic part of your offense for years to come!Former modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

Yeah the Cards have a real bright pitching future with tons of good names. Overall, their system is great!

Just spit balling, replace Giovatella with Alcides Escobar and what else am I looking at giving up in the deal? Not many players are off limits as I'm really high on him.Comment

I'm not high on Motte being a long-term solution at closer. Feel like Sanchez or Rosenthal could fit that bill though. I did also get a pitching prospect in the deal so I felt pretty good about that too.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Okay I am running with the M's at the end of April I am 21-9 but only a half game up on Oakland. Saunders,Harang, and Beavan are all struggling as Maurer has moved up to my #3 spot. but none of my young SP are doing anything in AAA. I have Bonderman who is putting up decent #'s with 4 wins, so he could come up to take 1 spot, but I need to fill another..
I can't send Harang or Saunders down because they are out of minor league options so they are either going to go to the bullpen or dumped via a trade or release.
So here is my question. Roy Halliday.. Phillies are currently 8-20. Halliday is 0-5 and has a ERA in the low 4's. Spreadsheet says a mid A and high B (I think). Do you still think that would be the case even with his stats, the fact he makes 4.0 mil and in every franchise I have simmed to the offseason he is a FA.
With these factors what really would be a fair deal. I don't have forced trades on, and when I inquired, they liked E. Ramirez (who is 3-2 in AAA for me) and J. Saunders.
My reason for Halliday is I have always liked him and would be willing to pay the 4 mil this season to see if he can turns things around. Then resign him if he does to a 2 yr deal until Paxton,Walker or Hultzen are ready to take over.Comment

I am on the other end of your situation. I am trying to deal for Halliday who is 0-5 hoping a return to the AL and no pressure sliding into a #3 spot in my rotation will help him turn things around, but don't want to overpay (Spreadsheet says Mid A and a B.)
I would would think you should still feel okay about dealing him for at least 1 B prospect, but as far as teams go I would look at teams who also have a struggling SP in the #4 or #5 spot in the rotation who could take a risk, or teams who just don't care and would be willing to spend the money like the Yankees,Mets,Red Sox ect.. Not sure a team like KC or Minnesota would put up that kind of money for a 0-5 pitcher.Comment

With him pitching poorly, guess you could degrade his trade value a bit. (Two high B's at least and maybe even another low B). Erasmo Ramirez is fine sending back to the Phillies. They also need a 2B of the future for the post-Utley-era so either Franklin or Mardner. Round it off with a bullpen arm like Pryor or CappsFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.

That looks nice, good mix of speed and power. I'd lean more on having Sanchez included in the deal rather than Salas. He offers more upside and is younger (?) if I'm not mistakenFormer modder of "Ultimate Rosters" for MVP Baseball 2005.
