Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm thinking of playing as either the rangers or the braves. If I play as the rangers I'm looking at trying to acquire Chris Sale and Paul Konerko. I'm not looking for realistic but just fair. I haven't really looked into the braves though. I know profar and if I have to add ogando or harrision I will to. Just to make it fair. I know the soxs wouldn't move those two but I'm just looking at fair and not realisticComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Thanks for your response man!
Hochevar (78 OVR) for Jurrjens (76 OVR) would be 1 back end of the rotation/long reliever for the other so that isn't an option.
Frenchy is too good in the game (83 OVR) and Colon is a B rated prospect.
Maybe Colon alone, would that be fair? Or is that too much/too little for 2 years of Jurrjens?
Also, there were rumors swirling this offseason that the Orioles offered Jake Arreita for Luke Hochevar straight up so that should give you a decent idea of what you could fetch for Hochevar.
I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

Really? Jake Arrieta seems to be the same thing as Luke Hochevar. Great stuff, no control. It was actually a link provided by MLBTR but I couldn't find it after a quick search.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
If you can hold out for the offseason you can grab Jair in the rule V draft. I have simmed to the 2013 offseason in several franchises and he is always available then.Currently Playing

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I'm at the end of June in my first year with the Yankees (47-31, 1st in AL East). Ichiro got hurt (248 AB .266 AVG 3 HR 15 RBI) and his replacement Brennan Boesch has played very well during the month Ichiro has been out (101 AB .267 AVG 3 HR 10 RBI, average was in the mid .100's before Ichiro got hurt). Ichiro has just been cleared from the DL and I am looking to move him for pretty much anyone. His overall is now 81 and is 39 years old. Any ideas on what I should do? Should I trade him for a D potential player or just place him on the bench?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Ugh, WAR is an accumulative statistic (only 114.2 IP) and LOB% is a luck based statistic to a large extent (and certainly not a skill-based statistic to the same extent) so I don't know why you're quoting it.
Prorated to a 200 IP season, Arrieta would've posted 2.8 wins above replacement, good for t-37th (Tommy Milone) in the entire league, and muuuuuuch better than anything Hochevar would've posted in 15 more innings.
Hochevar, in 185.1 IP, 5.73/4.63/4.32 ERA/FIP/xFIP, with 2:36 K/BB ratio.
Hoch is plain terrible and Arrieta was great last year, this really isn't a debate lol."Twelve at-bats is a pretty decent sample size." - Eric ByrnesComment
