Felix is listed as 6 HIGH A's on the spreadsheet. Not sure if that's a joke or not, but he'd be one of the more deserving options for that massive "King's ransom." Either he or Verlander are the best pitcher in baseball. I'd take either.

Even if you think 6 HIGH A's is a comically high price (not sure that I do--or if so, not by much), he'd still command 3-4 mid/high A's at minimum. Probably 3 high A's, 1-2 mid A's, and some variety of B.

I know the spreadsheet isn't law or anything (there are plenty of values I disagree with) but it's still a GREAT tool/starting point and kudos to the guys who created it--it saves oodles of time.

That all being said, Profar + Sardinas + Ross + Olt is nowhere close to 6 high A's. Not to mention why you'd deal for 2 SS's when you have a bloated cadre of middle IF prospects already in Seattle.

According to the spreadsheet...that package breaks down like this..

    High A: 1
    Mid A: 0
    Low A: 0
    High B: 1
    Mid B: 2
    Low B: 2
    High C: 2

    Note I gave Sardinas a mid B.

But if you look at that breakdown, it should be obvious that you're drastically low-balling yourself if you trade Felix for 1 A and 5 B's TOTAL. I'd suggest you toss in 2-3 more highly touted prospects on Texas' end. I'd say you could choose from Neftali Feliz, Joey Gallo, Cody Buckel, Wilmer Font, Martin Perez, Lewis Brinson, and Leonys Martin. Pick 2 if you take Feliz, and any 3 otherwise.

And if that seems like a really high price, well it is! You'd have to gut your future talent to get Felix...or in your case, you'd gut someone else to sell Felix.
I'm not gettin 1 A and 5 Bs I'm getting 2 As and 2 Bs. Anyway do u think it would really be fair if a added Feliz and Brinson. I don't know that seems like a bit much

Hey guys. I see a lot of people taking the Rockies and starting a rebuild. I've decided to take them in a different direction and go all in for Stanton from Miami.

        Marlins get:
        2B Josh Rutledge 83/B
        SS Trevor Story 74/A
        CF David Dahl 73/A
        RF Kyle Parker 76/B
And a 76/C Starting pitcher (can't remember his name)

        Rockies get:
        Giancarlo Stanton

        Thoughts?

Hey sorry don't have any advice on a good trade I was just curious about a few things. What is your future plan for outfielders then? Holiday, Jay and Stanton with Taveras coming off the bench?
For Stanton I am sure they would want Taveras plus at least 2 of the top pitching prospects.

We worked on a trade a few pages back that got the Cardinals Tulowitzki from the Rockies without giving up Miller or Taveras, which is what I would recommend. It doesn't hurt the outfield and gets you a top shortstop without losing Taveras. Just trade Beltran to a team in contention that needs outfield help or a big bat. You also could explore Profar for Beltran, plus a few of the top pitching prospects if you'd rather go that route.

what was the trade for tulo? I will probably go that route. What type of player could I get for Beltran?

That should be fine maybe giving a low B instead of that C or something would make it more fair

Tulowitzki+ Rex Brothers to St. Louis for Wacha + Martinez + Kelly + Adams + Wong + Garcia

To accomplish the multiple players in this turn forced trades on, and then trade the first 3 for Tulo and the next 3 for Brothers.
Consult the spreadsheet in the first page of the thread for Beltran's value, and then propose a trade that fits in that criteria and bring it back here for approval. You'd most likely get prospects for him, or bullpen help could be another way to go with it.

This is not even nearly enough for Stanton and Arenado would obviously have to be in any deal

                            Giancarlo in Colorado?

I read an article last year that Giancarlo would be projected to hit 606 career HR's if he spent the rest of his career in Colorado. He absolutely owns Coors Field... if there is some way to find his career numbers in Coors Field, it would be quite entertaining to see.

I think he has HR'ed in every game he has played there besides one.

I read that too. I'd think most of his HRs would be 450+, too, lol.
