But you said he has an ERA just north of 3? So it seems he's doing ok? Is that all simmed stats or are you playing the games? If you can get a 3 ERA pitching with him, then I'm not sure what the problem is.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

I'm not saying you shouldn't do it. I'm just questioning value. I think Lyles and a lowB/High C for those 2 should do it.Red Sox: 2018 World Series Champions!!!

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
These 24-26 y/o starting pitcher for 24-26 y/o starting pitcher moves don't make any sense. I know you want to shed salary, but presumably Pineda is making some money and it's all a shell game for the cpu. It doesn't really benefit them at all to take on some money and swap decent pitcher for decent pitcher.
In general, I would always ask myself for any trade, is this a move that helps the cpu in some significant way? Is an upgrade of 6 OVR on the SP worth taking on money and giving away another B prospect for the Yankees?
If you are this bent on dealing Lyles, trade him for a position player (you've been looking for a SS) so you can fill another teams need at SP. Getting a SP in return is not filling a vacant need for cpu team. Then you can deal Altuve (or whoever is left on your list) for a young, cheap SP. Make sense?
I'm suggesting this: Lyles for SS (or any position other than pitcher) then Altuve for SP. That way you get rid of those guys, but the deals will be worthwhile for your trading partner too.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
I don't think this works. Why would the Yanks make a lateral move like this? Pineda is as good or better than Lyles and if Pineda's a low B, either you're using crappy rosters or the game progression system has totally messed things up.

And this isn't to make your life hard, but I assume the fact that you come here to ask means you actually want to make your moves somewhat reasonable, so it's worth the effort now so you can enjoy how the trades pan out down the road.
Some teams that could use Altuve and take on money: Cubs, Nats, Tigers, Jays, O's, Giants, Dodgers.
Pretty much any team could use a young SP.
The caveat is that I don't know the landscape of your league since you said you're entering year 3.Chicago Cubs | Chicago Bulls | Green Bay Packers | Michigan WolverinesComment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Do you think I could get a low A and a mid B? I know you said trade Lyles for a SS but if I can get a low A and mid B for Altuve that would be great. The Braves have a 2B that can play SS and he is 81 OVR and a mid B. The low A would be J.R. Graham. Also the Braves could use another pitcher so I could throw in Lyles to help the deal out. If I do throw in Lyles could that get me another low to mid B or is that it?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Lyles is worth a Low B + High C according the spreadsheet if I remember correctly. Didn't you also say that he has been struggling in your chise? That will also hurt his value.
I think you should think about putting together a big deal with the Rockies. They could use Altuve and Lyles. You could get Trevor Story (Low A SS) and some pitching prospects back. Maybe Matzek + Aquino and throw in a C player like Culberson or Rosell Herrera.
If they can do it salary cap wise, it would probably be a good fit. Especially since JDLR is probably about done with his career in their rotation.

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
J.R. Graham doesn't have any stats unfortunately and I don't know why.
Scooter Gennett (that 2B) hit .272 with 21 rbi's
Can I add anything else like another low to mid B from the Braves?Comment
