I'm kinda confused... How do you use the filters in the spreadsheet on a computer. On the iPad, it's just a drop down list of options, but on the computer its different.... Anyone wanna tell me how to use it?

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
Still exploring options with my Indians (haven't made any deals yet). Looks like Bruce isn't an option since I can't fit him under our cap...and I don't see a lot of realistic outfiel options I would be ready to sacrifice Lindor for. So I thought maybe I'll go another way...
Any team you would see as good fit for Nick Swisher ?Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
OK, here's a trade that happened b/w CPU teams. I have 30 team control so I can negate or modify this offer, but I need advice.
CHI sent LF J. Costanza and C E. Gattis to ATL for RP M. Bowden, SS J. Baez, and RB A. Vizcaino.
Here's ATL's haul:
1. Bowden is 26 YO, 71 OVR, C POT, and has pitched 0 innings. He's now with
the Braves.
2. Vizcaino is 22 YO, 66 OVR, A POT, and has an ERA of 3.97 w/ 1 win and 1
loss. He's in AAA now.
3. Baez is 20 YO, 67 OVR, A POT and no official at-bats. He's now in AAA.
The Cubs are 13.5 games back after 46 games.
As for CHI's take:
1. Gattis is 26 YO, B POT, and is hitting .179 in 22 AB
2. Costanza is 29 YO, 64 OVR, D POT w/ no official AB.
I can see CHI contemplating selling, but not w/ just 50 games under their belts. Gattis is a nice piece, and ATL has 2 very nice C in the majors and 2 decent ones in the minors, but I'm not sure I'd let Gattis go so early.
CHI already has Castillo, who is passable, and while they need help in the OF, and potentially could develop Castillo at C, and Almora (A POT), Jackson (A POT) and Sczur (C POT) in the OF.
ATL could always use arms, but the big league club is fairly well stocked and the minors are full of C POT arms, so not bad.
What's the consensus on how to handle this?Comment

^^^ Horrid deal. Gattis is more of a platoon catcher, and Costanza SUCKS. Vizcaino is more of a mid B since he is a reliever (relievers are worth less than there overall/Potential shows). Baez is just untouchable. Baez is a T20 prospect IRL, and he would garner back more than a platoon C and a career minor leaguer.Red Sox: 2018 World Series Champions!!!

Are you trying to contend this season?
I've heard that sound 3 times... once was Babe Ruth, the second was Josh Gibson, and the third was Bo Jackson- Buck O'Neil

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
The Royals are really, really high on Escobar. He signed a 4 year extension last season and they want him to anchor the middle infield for the future, at least until Adalberto Mondesi. Mondesi probably won't be ready until 2018 and with second base already a vacuum, I doubt they'd want to make short a revolving door.

Ok Catcher, crappy left fielder for top prospect and a couple of arms.
So.... No way that deal should go through.Comment

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread
As for CHI's desire to sell. They clearly will be out of it this year by a long shot. Whom do you see them unloading and for what in return?
This brings to mind another key question for me since I'm a noob to this stuff: when in the schedule do teams really start making waves through trades?Comment

OK, so I'll reverse that deal no problem.
