In either case, you could definitely get Profar and then some...check the spreadsheet to get an idea of what other pieces you'd like to get. You could probably get another 2 B prospects after Profar imo
Yeah, I could see that. If he performs well, that is.

Like, in my franchise he's hitting in the mid .260's and not hitting many dingers, not getting on base much. So I dunno if Profar would work there. But if he's playing like Braun, Profar would work.

Alright so since Mark Reynolds was recently DFAd IRL does that affect his value? Spreadsheet calls for two high Cs and says its unrealistic because he's recently acquired. Would him being DFAd change that?

In my chise the Indians are 13 GB the Tigers and 4.5 GB in the WC. Reynolds is hitting .263/.352/.373 only 6 HRs in 255 ABs.

Basically I'm wondering if a trade for Joey Terdoslavic (.251/.313/.431 in 239 ABs in AAA) would be fair/realistic? Terd is a tier 5-7ish C.

I could see that happening. The Indians have their DH/CI options and could save some money by trading away Reynolds if they're that far behind in the standings like you mentioned. Terdoslavich would offer some versatility and help them get younger in the process

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Hey guys still close to deadline and I can't decide on some deals, so I play another and lose Melky for 2 months.

I noticed Byrd is otb for Mets and I want to trade Romero. Romero is worth a Low B and Mid C on the spreadsheet. Byrd is a Low B so i added Jemery Hefner who is a Mid C. This is spreadsheet value for Romero, and Mets get a younger SP while I get an OF who is on a 1 year deal and will be a free agent plus I get a pitcher to replace Romero in AAA.

I am in the running in the AL east sitting in 2nd. Mets are in 5th and are selling for sure. Romero has been decent in AAA actually but I haven't had room for him in the big leagues so I figure a change of scenery for him would be good

Thoughts? Should I add a minor piece or is this fine as is?

ALSO...on the topic of Reynolds...since hes DFA and the Indians could use a 2B. Would Bonifacio for Reynolds be fair? Both are rated the same in my game and I would like a Power bat off the bench while Boni would start at 2nd for them (Kipnis 60-day DL)

              Thanks

Really need stats on this one. Reynolds was DFA because he could not stop his slump. Byrd was overvalued as he was having a good year. Unless you don't care about realism, just fair?

Reynolds hitting .217 lol...13 HR....close to deadline Byrd is doing close to his stats to this point, but a little less. Romero has worn out his welcome in TO

More fair then real...real for my dynasty ...Byrd and Reynolds are movable in real life thats why I thought of it. Want it to be completely fair though

Romero for Byrd/Hefner is alright as it fits a need for both teams. I feel Byrd is a bit overrated at a low B (should be more of a high C) but maybe that's just me. Either way, value wise, with Romero having worn out his welcome and is under contract for a couple of more years, the deal would work.

With an apparent need in Cleveland for a new 2B I'm sure you could get an extra arm in the deal for Bonifacio if he's putting up good numbers. Thinking Carrasco or Tomlin if you want a starter or Blake Wood/Nick Hagadone if you need a reliever.

Thanks Totte. You mean Boni for Reynolds and Tomlin or Carrasco ? Or just for the pitcher? Would I need to add anything there if for both ?

Btw boni is holding his own. Batting .252 with 20 steals. Not much in power or RBI but has been better than real life

If Boni is hitting well, I like the idea of Boni for Reynolds + Carrasco.

Ya like I said Reynolds battin close to .200 with 13 homers at deadline...Boni is over .250 with 20 steals and has been decent. I may pull the trigger here

Carrasco's got a ton of potential. I think I'd pull the trigger if I were you.

Good choice. I think Carrasco 1 or 2-hit me, and we both play 2K, so he'll be about as good in your chise. Some potential there for sure.
