Coming to the end of may the Yankees are 11 games back of first dead last in the NL East. They're offering Ivan nova to the Brewers(2nd place) for 2B Scooter Gennett and SP Jonathan Hellweg. The Brewers starting rotation is awful everyone has a 4 ERA or higher. Is this a realistic trade considering the circumstances?

Ivan Nova isn't a solid ERA fixer, but he can be a solid 2/3 in the Brewers rotation. What is Genett's potential?

It's not really that realistic. Hellweg was just acquired last year and is one of their top 'spects. Segura might be the main piece of the Grenkie trade, but Hellweg is an important part too. It's definitely not the most unrealistic trade to be brought up.

Gennett is a low to mid B if I'm not mistaken. Hellwegg is a high B maybe? At worst a mid B. There's definitely some logic in the deal but it feels like a slight overpay from the Brew Crew

Yeah it is actually pretty logical... but realism wise? No. I also agree with Totte that it is an overpay on the Brewers end.

Danny Valencia from the O's? He's stuck behind Machado and still fairly young. His power could play quite well at CBP.

I'd try and ride it it with Olt while getting that extra bat to not necessarily give him days off but rather sit him for a couple of innings per game. Run his training to up his durability?

Need your help and advise fellas.

I'm the Marlins and I have three trades and would like to know if (1) its either a fair trade and (2) which trade would be best for my organization.

                  Rangers
SS Profar, RP Feliz and Olt for Stanton.

                  TB
SP Moore and RF Myers for Stanton.

                  DBacks
CF Eaton, SP Skaggs and either SP Bradley or 3B Davidson for Stanton.

                  Appreciate the feedback guys, thanks.

I hope you not looking for realism because all of them are unrelistic. But if you don't care and you are looking for fairness you could throw in possibly another mid B to any of the deals. If not more.

Tell me if this is realistic. I am the 2012 Marlins and I currently have the leagues best record. The Cubs have the worst record in the league. Could I trade Ozuna, Fernandez and Heaney for Starlin Castro or would I have to trade Yelich away? Castro doesn't have his real life extension in MLB 12. Also if this trade goes through should I move Castro to second and keep Reyes at short?

Your first trade is most realistic but second best for your organization.

Your second trade is the least realistic but the best for your organization.

Your third trade is the second most realistic but worst for your organization.

Stats? If the Cubs are out of it and he's hitting unbelievably badly, maybe.

Too little. Been discussed before, use the search option

Too little. Moore and Meyers are intriguing, but you can get more back. Also not realistic. They have Meyers in the farm, Jennings in the majors, and Stanton will cost too much.

Eaton, Skaggs, Davidson, Corbin? How is Corbin doing? Is he a mid B like original, or bumped up to an A like IRL?

                          Appreciate the feedback guys, thanks.
Responses in bold. You can also look at Seattle and St. Louis' packages. They are a lot more intriguing to me. Just ask if you want to look at those.

Stanton is a realistic option. Just not to Tampa. I know Loria and Co. said that've is "off-limits", but calling their bluff and offering something special would change their minds. Also, the poster is Miami, so it makes it more realistic. Tampa is the only team up there that wouldn't do it, Arizona would think about it, and Texas is linked to him strongly.

No, not realistic. Castro isn't going anywhere unless Baez outplays him. It's too early in your dynasty to test Baez (18 in '12) so Castro will stick around. He is also 21 years old, and already regarded as a top SS. For your side, the Marlins are VERY high on Fernandez (I'd think everyone is!) and wouldn't move him at 19 IMO. Fair? Almost.

I believe it was Tavares, Martinez, Rosenthal, Wacha, and a C potential. AC, was that our agreed upon price? I forgot exactly the trade.

Seattle's return is Walker, Hultzen, Pryor, Franklin, and a high C.

I have a methodological question for the trade gurus.

I assume you're using 30-team control. Do you let trades happen and then reverse/modify them, or do you keep trades set to manual and make trades for teams on the basis of your knowledge of needs, trends, and value?

I need to improve how I handle monitoring trades in season two, so I'd like some suggestions, and then I'll bow out until the trade season for season two.

                                Thanks once again!
