    Yea, But Bogaerts is a high A, Iglesias is a mid/low B. Also, Bog>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Iglesias

I know........which is why I said the Red Sox would give Iglesias up way before Bogaerts. Bogaerts is extremely talented which is why the Red Sox will almost definitely keep him.

I believe Braun is a mid A+ on the sheet, so bog is a no. I don't see Bog being traded for OF help with Ellsy, JBJ, Victorino, Nava, and Gomes. Anyways, I don't like Braun anymore, and don't see him as a fit in Boston. Especially for our top prospect.

Looking to deal A. Rios and A. Dunn to Tampa Bay. It's the All-Star break in 2014. The Rays are 55-41 with a 3.5 game lead on the Yankees and a 6 game lead on Toronto.

Chicago is 43-52 and 9 games out and have thrown in the towel.

Spread sheet says 2 High C's for Dunn (currently hitting .245 13 HR 38 RB) and a High C for Rios (currently hitting .231 with 18 HR 51 RBI). Rios hit .258 last year with 34 HR and 101 RBI, so 1 High C seems really low for him.

I added B. Ryan to the Rays last year, so with Chicago in need of a SS, I was thinking Hak-Ju Lee (65B) hitting .277 with 2 HR and 10 SB's. and maybe SP Jeff Ames (72B) currently 5-5 with a 5.28 ERA in AA

Lee is ranked #3 and Ames is ranked #13 in the Rays Top-20 prospects.

Looking for fair, not realistic. However Dunn fills a huge need for the Rays at DH (Scott is on the DL) and Myers is struggling (.208 8 HR),so Rios could spell him in RF and LF M. Joyce (.264 13 HR) as well as backup Jennings in CF, so I think this is a smart move by them.

You're right on Rios deserving at least two high C's with those stats. What you're proposing with Ames and Lee for Dunn and Rios is alright if the Rays can handle the increased payroll

I just started a Mets franchise and I am going to play every game. I am playing on HOF pure analog and so with this roster I know I am going to need some bullpen help as well as some power just to make a playoff push. So does anyone have some advice for acquiring a few good names. I am using osfm od roster btw, thanks hope to hear from someone soon

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

In year 3 of my Astros chise and Corbin, Weiland, and Appel are all hurt so I need a SP.
I was looking at Arizona who has a rotation of:
                  Medlan (96 ovr)
                  Cahill (91 ovr)
                  Hudson (91 ovr)
                  McCarthy (90 ovr)
                  Skaggs (90 ovr)

I want to get Delgado since they don't need him because of their stellar rotation. I also want to get Prado who has only 2 yrs left of his contract and he is 31.

I will offer Jake Elmore 77 ovr mid B, Brandon Barnes 76 ovr low B, SS Josh Denson 58 ovr mid A
                  For Delgado and Prado

Re: 2013 The Show Official Trade Discussion Thread

Hello everyone, I've been following this forum for quite some time and just want to thank you guys for all the effort put into this.

I am considering starting a franchise with the Red Sox but want to operate them with sort of a "moneyball" mentality. What would be some good young, cheap players to get for more expensive guys like:

                    Ryan Dempster
                    John Lackey
                    Koji Uehara
                    Shane Victorino
                    Stephen Drew
                    Jon Lester
and basically any older guy not named Dustin Pedroia or David Ortiz

I've read the values on the spreadsheet but don't have a good enough general idea of farm systems outside of the Cubs to piece together good, realistic trades.

                    Thanks for the help!

Does overall not matter? Also, I noticed that some players like Chase Headley have 4 values by their name. How can you possibly trade for them? Do you need to find a player that equals at least 2 of those values (i.e. Jedd Gyorko is a High B + Mid B, so that covers 2 of the 4 that Headley needs)?

Even after the deal Tampa will have close to 10 mil in their budget to spend. Which I figure with Hellickson,Wilhelmson,Archer and Joyce as key F.A. to resign that will be enough to keep those guy's plus look at some F.A. next season.

Once you sort by potential it also sorts the players into subgroups within that potential so if you had a list of potential players with A potential and overalls of:

                              82
                              77
                              91
                              80
                              85

The 82 and 77 overall are High A while the 91 and 80 are Mid A and the 85 is a Low A.

For players with more than 3 values you do it in multiple trades. So with Headley you would do the 3 B prospects for Headley plus your C prospect for the Padres worst player essentially.

Where would be a nice fit for Brett Lawrie and JP Arencibia ...cant stand either. What could I get in return for the duo? Separate trades or together. Looking for MLB talent back to make my team better this year...

Interested in 3B, C, SP as position needs

Some players I would like (not sure whos available or not):
                                - Pujols, Hamilton
                                - Prado, Parra, Kubel
                                - Sandoval
                                - Headley, Quentin, Forsythe
                                - Utley, Young, Ruiz
                                - Cargo
                                - Mauer, Morneau, Plouffe

Any possible deals for Lawrie here to any of the teams mentioned above for said players? Most intriguing to me is Minnesota to get Mauer/Plouffe/MAYBE Morneau, or to the Padres in a deal for Headley and maybe a pitcher since they are sellers as well. The Utley/Ruiz/Young combo come third
