I play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. We played minor league baseball as 9-10 YOs on the Zephyrs.

Right now there is a 300 prospect with all 40 man roster in the vault, essentially each teams 40 man with top 10 prospects. Seems pretty decent, anyone else try it.

If your looking at player card you have to scroll over a couple times to see minor league stats.

This is the roster I'm using until the OSFM comes out. It gets the job done.

I'm 5-7 in my Mariners franchise. Playing one, simming five. I'll do this on this franchise and use the games I do play to fine tune my sliders.

Everyone in my lineup seems to be struggling except Dustin Ackley (.350ish, 3 HR) and Jesus Montero (.285ish, 2 HR). I'm loving this year's game, though.

            Re: 2013 Franchise/Season Progress Thread

Just did a brand new fantasy draft with the Dodgers since I got some new rosters and I'm fairly pleased with my team.
I got the 7th pick and took Matt Kemp with it, keeping him in LA.

            C- Matt Wieters/Tony Cruz
            1B- Mark Teixeira/Darin Ruf
            2B- Kevin Frandsen/Marwin Gonzalez
            3B- Pedro Alvarez
            SS- Ronny Cedeno/Marwin Gonzalez
            LF- Michael Brantley/Maybin/Bernadina
            CF- Matt Kemp/Maybin/Bernadina
            RF- Travis Snider/Maybin/Bernadina

            SP- Jon Lester
            SP- Homer Bailey
            SP- Wei Yin Chen
            SP- Jon Niese
            SP- Dylan Bundy

            LRP- Trevor Rosenthal - R
            MRP- Pedro Feliciano - L
            MRP - Kyuji Fujikawa - R
            MRP - Josh Outman - L
            SU- Ernesto Frieri - R
            SU- Johnny Venters - L
            CP- Jim Johnson - R

            Notable prospects
            Dylan Bundy - 20 yr - 74 ovr - A pot
            Zach Britton - 25 yr - 78 ovr- A pot
            Jeurys Familia - 23 yr - 72 ovr - B pot
            Kolten Wong - 22 yr - 68 ovr - B pot
            Josh Harrison - 25 yr - 64 ovr - B pot
            Anthony Rendon - 22 yr - 62 ovr - A pot
            Dom Brown - 25 yr - 68 ovr - A pot

Overall I think this team may do ok. The middle of my bullpen is weak but the end with Venters, Johnson, and Frieri will arguably be the best in baseball imo. My infield needs work but hopefully Rendon, Wong, and Harrison will bloom well and be able to take over in a year or so.

What do you guys think? Any moves you recommend making?

              Re: 2013 Franchise/Season Progress Thread

Ok I need some advice. Right now my pitching staff is

              Chapman 96
              Latos 95
              Cueto 94
              Braden 85
              Leake 80

I also have 3 of the top 50 AAA SP's with the highest is a 79.

I'm looking for a RH OFer to bat 4th in between Votto and Bruce. I started sending out some feelers and was SHOCKED that Pittsbugh would part with McCuthen for Cueto and Choo. What do you do? Do I give up that strength in the rotation or just stand pat? I've been using Choo in LF and starting Hamilton in CF. I really wanted Justin Upton because he's a natural LFer but our contracts don't add up.

Also in sending out feelers I came across a strange message when trying to offer Dallas Braden to people. It said my trade would most likely be rejected because he was a recently signed FA. I thought I saw something about that on the board but wasn't sure where. Anyone know when/ if this is ever removed? In Braden's case it may work to my benefit because he's been progressing nicely though.

Dayan viciedo kills lefties and can give you some 3b and 1b eligibility. I love cincy but not the biggest choo fan.

IMO I would not feel comfortable with Dallas Braden and mike leake 4&5. They both feel sub .500 and would rather have a stronger 4 And a weaker 5. Idk how Braden plays ,he could be a boss plus maybe your effective with him idk but I don't see him above a #3 ever again. Mike leake sims well I think he was on cy young list. Leake and Homer Bailey for a good #4 Braden to 5. Choo and some of those prospects for the RH BAT You will be set on pitching for 2 years give you some time to grow some more A's on the farm.

                    Re: 2013 Franchise/Season Progress Thread

just started a Reds franchise. I am still using MLB 12 the show and not 13. have played 6 games so far and our record is 5-1. Looking at my roster I am expecting big things in year 1. Here is our top prospects with their stats so far to start the season.

                    TOP PROSPECTS 2012

                    1) Devin Mesoraco 24 years old (C) MLB .437 avg/1hr/2RBI - Currently is our starting Catcher here in Cincinnati and has no doubt been our best player so far. Our scouts say that he has the ability and potential to be a starting catcher for many years to come.

                    2) JJ Hoover 24 years old (RP) AAA 7 IP/ 1.29 ERA/ 3 SO/ 3 Hits allowed - Is currently off to an amazing start. our scouts have him as a rated B potential. they also say that he has the potential to be a star reliever in the bigs. We want more than that if everything works out. Best case scenario is a future starter in the MLB. needs to work on stamina and control first though.

                    3) Anthony Brito 23 years old (SP) class A 0/0.00/0/0 - is about to be called up to AA. Scouts say he has the potential to be a future # 2 or 3 starter in the bigs, but he has to improve in a lot of areas to get there. two areas where we want him to improve are his Velocity and control. Both are at F right now and want to get that up to at least a C.

                    4) Derek Sargent 24 years old (C) AAA .187/2/4 - is off to a bad start in AAA. This our our biggest project out of all the prospects we have. Has the ability to be a starting catcher in the MLB, but has to really work on his skills. We need him to improve basically all skills. Power, contact, fielding, and also would like to see his speed improve a little bit.

                    5) Chris Santiago 25 years old (2B) AAA .091/0/1 - is also off to a really bad start to the early season. could be sent down to AA if his stats don"t improve shortly. could be a potential starting INF in the MLB, but needs to improve, and doesn't have a lot of time to because of his age already being 25.

These our our top prospects to start the season. I am going to try and update their stats pretty recently.

The Atalanta Braves enter the 2013 season as legitimate World Series Contenders. After suffering a heart breaking and contriversal loss in last years Wild Card the Braves made a splash in the offseason by trading for slugger Justin Upton and signing older brother BJ Upton in free agency. The key to the Braves success will be their pitching and if Kris Medlen can continuee is rise as an ace of a staff. Tim Hudson will be the veteran presence needed with all the young arms on the Braves roster

The battle at 3B will be a tough one with Chris Johnson coming over in the Justin Upton deal and Juan Francisco coming up from the system and filling in on occasion last year. Whoever does prevail will have giant shoes to fill as soon to be HOFer Chipper Jones hung up his cleats.

Jason Heyward has hide some highs and lows during his brief young career after storming out of the gate his first season and having a “sophomore slump” his second. Last year is even out having a good bounce back year. With the retirement of Chipper, Jason may have to take on the leadership role in the clubhouse. The Braves are hoping this year will be his coming out party to true stardom.

Also SP homer bailey did get injured in his first start of the year. he was placed on the 15 day DL. considering that we want to make the playoffs this year. We didnt think that anyone in the minors were ready to be called up, and couldnt afford to fall behind early in the season so we pulled the trigger on a free agent. We signed SP Javier Vasquez. Management felt that when Bailey is healthy we could always put Vazquez in as long relief. Vazquez wanted between 4-6 years for his contract but we only wanted him for 1 year.

                          resulting contract was
                          1 yr /10 million

-more then we wanted to spend but we can afford it for now.

                          starting rotation right now

                          Latos
                          Cueto
                          Leake
                          Bailey/Vazquez
                          Arroyo

Giants, Reds, Cardinals (if you use the OSFM rosters), Nationals, Athletics, Tigers, Rays, maybe the Mariners.

A very popular choice would be the Nationals. They have a nice young core with great pitching and hitting.
