Re: Change New RTTS Presentation
I also need to take a moment to address the "already too many option" comment made by Russell. I'm sure it was an innocent comment, but don't put that on me the consumer. I'm not the one creating new ways to catch a ball. I was offended by the insinuation that it is somehow our fault that there are "too many options" in the game.Comment

Re: Change New RTTS Presentation
I agree with your statement. But if someone wants to complain they can, if someone wants to give feedback, they can.Comment

Re: Change New RTTS Presentation
I am an RttS guy. It's all I play and why I buy the game. After playing it for so long, I've gotten used to the lack of commentary. I generally zoom by most everything anyway so I find it not that big of a deal. The thing you can do now is either come here and complain about the sound the camera makes and/or the lack of commentary or play the game and enjoy it for what it is. Bottom line: you can't please everyone.est 1978

Re: Change New RTTS Presentation
I am one who doesn't like it as well as I used to. I'm merely trying to give SCEA some feedback that I'd prefer to have an option. It's not that I don't like it at all. I'm fine with it. I'll continue to play RTTS and have fun. But I would like to turn the announcer audio on sometimes too. I don't think it's fair to paint everyone in here in broad strokes as "complainers".Comment

I swear that so many people don't read info before a game comes out. They already said I believe in a video for RTTS that the commentary would be taken out. The whole point of RTTS is to play from a PLAYER'S PROSPECTIVE! Players don't hear the commentary in real life during a game. But I guess you can't fix stupid can you....

Re: Change New RTTS Presentation
I, too, was VERY pissed off when I first played RTTS. It's pretty much the only mode I play, with the exception of an exhibition game and sometimes I'll start a season (and usually never finish it. lol) But I've been playing all day. Made me a Closer in RTTS and I've made it up to AAA and I honestly am starting to like it. I've played RTTS so much that the commentators would get on my nerves quite a bit, since they are so repetitive, so it's actually kinda refreshing to not hear them constantly after you get used to it.
I do, however, think there should be an option for people who still wanna hear the commentary.
Now, back to playing...Comment

Re: Change New RTTS Presentation
Because it's the only thing that they left in the commentary. Most people wanna hear about themselves.Comment

But they reasoning doesn't make sense then. Either it was taken out because as a player you don't hear the commentary or not. If that's the reason then why should I be able to hear any commentary?Comment

Re: Change New RTTS Presentation
The problem most of us is having is that there was no option for us to switch back on the commentary we used to have. If we had that option and those new cutscenes, RTTS would be even more tremendous, but as it is, we have a halfway house type solution which really only benefits those who don't want commentary in their single player modes.
Though what on earth that zoom animation and whoosh sound is doing in-game I'll never know. Play a full-game as a pitcher and tell me it's not annoying.Comment

Re: Change New RTTS Presentation
I understand where you guys are coming from. And honestly, I really dont care either way. Im just trying to explain the thought process behind it.
To give you that on field feel, but still give you SOME of the commentary.
Russell said they couldnt add an on/off option because there was already too many options in that mode.
Apparently, that response was too offensive to some.Comment
