    Re: Change New RTTS Presentation

There are about 30K members on TSN. About 2K active and only about 100 of them are daily users.
Of the 2K that are active, I think theres maybe about 20 that have complained about the new RTTS.
There are about 50K MLBTS gamers here and how many complained about RTTS?

Most people will voice complaints before they voice approval.

We represent a VERY VERY small percentage of the MLBTS population.

Regardless, you guys have the right not to like the new mode and you have the right to say so.
Unfortunately, no changes will be made this year and the best you can hope for is MLB14

Changes could be made, they just won't be. That's a sad thought considering that SCEA has always been great about hearing out their consumers... maybe that "Highest Rated Sports Game for the Past 4 Years" they love enough to put on their box art, is starting to go to their heads.

Yup because they revamp one mode to try and bring a different/improved experience and that automatically means them being highest rated for 4 years is going to their head.

I would like to see the link for the survey that they took to gather this information.

I realize that OS/TSN forum members make up a small minority of actual game buyers, but I would strongly tend to believe that the feedback gathered from both sites makes up the majority of feedback that they get for the game....

Really, what is there to like about hearing your fielders yell "c'mon, let's get his guy," "pull two here," "get 'em" ad nauseum? Couple that with the very unrealistic zooming/swoosh, and you just have a very unplayable mode.
This makes no sense for the game as a whole since they still have commentary (even more now) in exhibition, franchise, etc.

A lot. One of the big appeals of video games is that it can make you feel like you're actually experiencing the events. Anything that adds to this such as "field sounds" is a nice addition, in my opinion.

Why? Do you think they are the only 2?
There are literally thousands of video game forums like this one.
MLB12 sold 1M copies last year worldwide. Between here and TSN, we only make up 10% between the 2... AT BEST!

If you were to poll 10 people, are you going to listen to all 10 or just 1 out of every 10?

I agree, more field sounds does make it more like you are actually playing.... until you hear the commentary that is still in the game, and the annoying "whoooosh" sound. It's either one way or the other. In all my years of playing baseball I never heard commentary, and I never once heard a "whoooosh"......

Holly crap, so much complaining here, the commentary gets stale after playing many years on RTTS and the NEW RTTS is suppose to be authentic, so I would rather hear the screaming of the fans at fenway in the playoffs, then endless commentary (as if I was a player). I love this change

I have an idea, Why doesn't a mod add a poll to this thread asking if you like the new RTTS mode?

Lmao @ all the whining in this thread. Guess what, gents, the world doesn't revolve around you. People whined about the commentary, THEY WHINED ABOUT RTTS STARTING TO BECOME STALE, SCEA makes a change that actually makes a mode designed to be fantasy for people who never had the chance to play at that level actually more realistic of a presentation, and boom, wah wah wah.

The new commentary or lack thereof in this mode is fantastic. Thank you Scea, looking forward to even more improvements that help w the immersion.

I for one am not saying that I don't like the new mode. I would have just liked a choice to either use it, or play the game with the commentary fully active, as it was the last 5 or 6 years I played RTTS.

There's been plenty of times over the years that I got tired of the commentary, and all it took was moving a couple of sliders to basically give you what we have this year. Difference is, I could then choose to turn the commentary back on....

Funny, every time I do a search on The Show, only these two forum sites come up. Those other 1000 sites must be some top secret dev only baseball sites.

As Crixus would say on Spartacus.... remove head from (dev) butt....
