Killer team especially straight outta the box !! I worry ab the 4- 5 pitchers. I would throw 5 to 6 hard innings with them more full intensity pitches. To make those innings more effective. Then turn it to the bullpen not taking chances late in games with the SP. IMO. Surprised when I read you got 28th pick. I was like can he get Stanton with that. Glad it worked out

Re: Fantasy Draft Results Thread
Yeah I'm still thinking I'll make a move for a better pitcher, depending on how ST and the first month of the season go, I've got quite a bit of talent in the minors (Walker, Cole etc) so I could throw some of them up see if I can get an ace... Stanton will actually go in the first 3 picks of the second round I have noticed, that's why I was hoping for a pick 28-30, then I knew I could get Stanton and another (Longoria) good player... Yeah I'm a bit disappointed in my power ranking, but having Crawford and Machado up the middle is going to be great I think haha...Killer team especially straight outta the box !! Re: Fantasy Draft Results Thread
Yes you have plenty of options at pitcher. Almost anyone could be acquired and Anyone of those prospect guys could turn in a #2 or #3 pitchers year. Heck I would throw walker as soon As his stamina recovers. Even if it's 4 scoreless innings by the end of the year he have some good numbers.Yeah I'm still thinking I'll make a move for a better pitcher, depending on how ST and the first month of the season go, I've got quite a bit of talent in the minors (Walker, Cole etc) so I could throw some of them up see if I can get an ace... The astros minor league system is giving first 4 innings to one SP then the last 5 to the other SP. On their next start day they flip flop roles. They are doing this because they brought in so many minor league SP and not enough spots. Eventually they think they will weed themselves out and then have a clearer picture. Maybe an idea for ST.
I'm still new to Crawford. Was he a highly rated prospect for Giants before he became a starter ? I know he brings defense but havnt watched him play enough.
I go ab a month an need a trade. Not that I trade alot but someone I acquired in a multi player deal not working. And I gave him a month to get it going. Helps me to play with them some. I'll even trade down to have a better feel for my team an reload the minors.
Your rankings take time to adjust so time does heal there.I play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. We played minor league baseball as 9-10 YOs on the Zephyrs.Comment

Maybe sub Reid Brignac late in games where you have the lead or as a defensive sub if they will only get 1 more ab in the game to keep Panda A's close to 100 % as possible.
Hopefully Teagarden hits like he use too. He killed it on previous versions of the show.I play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. We played minor league baseball as 9-10 YOs on the Zephyrs.Comment

Re: Fantasy Draft Results Thread
-subbing bringac's definitely a good idea
-every games gonna be a football score so I better get ready lol
-truthfully I dont hate how my rotation came out ... I dont have a true #1 but I have 5 good starters and a couple of good young guys... thought about trading a couple of mid level prospects for a halladay type but ehhhh idk im pretty comfortable with how this team came out.. I actually dont think I need any trades at the moment.
-if I sub in bringac late in a game.. will that actually make sandoval a little fresher then playing a full 9? the game takes that sub into account ?Comment

Re: Fantasy Draft Results Thread
I can't confirm it. Maybe pop that question in the q&a thread. But I think So. Especially if it's like the 6th or 7 th and Pablo ended the inning or something.-subbing bringac's definitely a good idea

Lol Middlebrooks is who I'm trying to trade lol I have Freeman too and there's no contest between the two. Middlebrooks plays ok I jus need someone to spell Moustakas. So I trading Lynn and Middlebrooks for viciedo and masterson.I play MLB exclusively with my cousin. Usually looking for info on Franchises. Re: Fantasy Draft Results Thread
So with rosters out I wanted to do a fantasy draft of a young team and build it around speed and contact hitting. I decided to go with a NL team since that style of play fits perfect in that league. My only rule when drafting was not picking anyone over 30. I also plugged some young prospects into my bullpen to get them to the majors for experience.

Re: Fantasy Draft Results Thread
I'm sure this same team has more-or-less been drafted already, but I love my team. Went with the Astros and luckily got the #1 pick. Over the last 2 or 3 years, of doing 1 or 2 fantasy draft franchises per year, I've never landed even a top 3 pick, never mind the #1 pick.
I don't remember who I took in which rounds after the first 4 or 5 rounds but this is my lineup, rotation, and bench, and bullpen.

Just a couple questions as i'm not near my ps3. What is Machado like at second base? What is Ryu's rating with the OSFM?
Thanks, and I'll be posting my team here in a few hours.

What do you guys think? I think draft #2 is probably stronger in every area except the bullpen and speed, and maybe Draft #1's starters edge out #2. Which one should I go with??Last edited by Troopershorty51; 04-05-2013, 09:33 PM.Comment
