I don't think we're talking about the same thing.
Or...I'm not talking about what the other poster was.

I think he meant does putting a player that is not ready for the MLB or not ready for AAA on those levels...will it hinder him from progressing.
    or vice versa
Right now a player has the same chance of progressing or regressing on any level across the board.

Re: 30 Team Control & Automatic Lineups

After testing all night, here's what I'm doing and I'm actually extremely impressed.

I have two profiles - one for me and one for the CPU. I'm only controlling one team and I have everything set to MANUAL. For all other teams everything is set to AUTO except Lineups/Rotations.

I set all the injuries and actual real life lineups for each team. I want to try and keep all MLB teams lineups and rotations in tact and I do not care if the Minor league are changed. Once I start the season if I get a pop up for a minor league I just select Auto Fix Lineup and let the CPU do it's thing (this does not mess with the MLB lineups/rotations).

If I get a injury pop up for a MLB team, then I will immediately go check the transactions page to see if it's a player coming off the DL or it's a player going on the DL. Either way the CPU has already made the corresponding Call Up/Send Down so all I have to do is correct their lineup accordingly.

So for instance when Hanley Ramirez came off the DL the CPU made the decison to Send Down Justin Sellers. I inserted Hanley in his spot and adjusted the lineup as I saw fit. It's works the same way when a player goes on the DL. If a SP gets injured then for my testing normally the CPU will call up another SP (or a RP if you already have another SP as a MLB RP). Just insert the replacement in the rotation and you're good to go. Honestly, it doesn't take up that much time and if you anal about lineups/rotations, then it's totally worth the extra few minutes.

With all that said, I suppose that there could be a downside to this that I haven't discovered, but so far I haven't found it. So after three nights of adding players to the DL and adjusting lineups I'm now ready to start my franchise

While you're at it could you answer my question from the previous post? Wanna make sure I understand 30 team control and lineups

Where do you create a profile? I click user settings and see gameplay, presentation, audio, mode specific, online challenge, use as default, set fav team, create, delete. Where can you set CPU to auto settings????

Want to know before I get too deep in my two profile 30 team control franchise

            Thanks
The third profile I mentioned is for making sure you get the lineup you want to see from a certain team for an upcoming series you are about to play...this way, you don't really care about lineups that the CPU teams are using playing each other...but when you are the Braves for example and are ready to play the Phillies....you give the Phils that third profile with the manual lineup....you set the Phillies lineup right before the game...and that's the lineup you will get(except for fatigue or substitutions)

As far as a callup....you don't even need to change the roster moves from auto to manual.....simply go to the team....choose the player and make the move. The only time the CPU really makes moves is in case of injury right now...so it won't reset the move you make.

That CREATE you mentioned is for making the separate profiles....
Once you create it....then edit it and go to the MODE OPTION section and set what you want to AUTO.
For assigning it to teams...it's USER SETTINGS....SET PROFILE ASSOCIATION.
You use the R-Stick for assigning them.
When editing....look at the top of the page...it will say which profile you are in at that time.
The shoulder buttons cycle through the profiles.

                  You're welcome.

Don't forget to hit the USE AS DEFAULT option when you have the one with the settings you want for the league "loaded"(at the top of that particular page...where I said you cycle through them with the shoulder(R1/R2) buttons.

For instance...you want MANUAL injuries...the profile that you have manual injuries for is PROFILE 1 let's say...
Make sure that is on the top of the screen and hit that USE AS DEFAULT option.

Let me know if you need any other help with it.

If you have both profiles, CPU and Human, set to manual for injuries, does it matter which one is Default?

So if I were about to play the phillies and they were still on auto profile I couldn't just go set their lineup because they'd reset it correct?

                        Lineup?
This is where you would use the third CPU profile....with everything to AUTO except LINEUPS.....
Assign that profile to the Phils......set the lineup and that's the one you will get when you play the team for that game/series.

Don't forget to put it to the all AUTO profile after that series...otherwise you will be getting prompted to fix the lineup every time a player is injured and the CPU makes a move for that team.

When I said you can just make a move without switching anything...that was roster move...a call up....signing a FA....sending someone down....removing from the 40 man...etc.

i just started a season and I did the 30 team control and assigned all the teams the same profile. i just do a season and not a franchise. whats the downfall of doing that and not doing the three different profile setup? I just started so I can start over if need be.

I need a simple answer and don't want to read back through 17 pages.

Is it necessary to do 30 team control this year? The thing I dislike the most is unrealistic amounts of trades and I know that 30 team control can do this.

I'd prefer to just control my team and that's it.

                              Amounts?...or actual content of trades.

If you mean amounts....you'd be surprised if you went through the transactions of the MLB and counted the trades.

Thanks. What about the the "quality" of the trades. Are they believable or do we need 30 team control to manage them? That's my main issue. As well as unrealistic lineups as well. Basically, what are the pro's and cons to 30 team control? Thanks for your input.
