Re: 30 Team Control & Automatic Lineups
I have two question that I really need help with.
1. I am controlling all 30 teams in franchise mode, but when I finish spring training and start the season the computer resets my rosters and lineups before the season begins. Is there anyway to prevent this?
2. Is there away to place players on the DL if there are injured in real life but not in the game?
Thanks in advance!!Comment

Re: 30 Team Control & Automatic Lineups
Yeah I'm totally confused about this Knight.. When I start a franchise/season I don't see any franchise user options.. After checking all teams, all I see on the right is user settings that let me switch to custom 1, custom 2, beginner, etc etc... I also don't see where I can switch lineups or anything else to auto.. Please help...Comment

I've seen the 30 team control option brought up over the years, but I never paid attention to it because it seemed like a lot to so.
Well I just did the 3 profile setup Knight spoke about and it was very easy.
What are the advantages and disadvantages to doing this though? I don't know all of the reasons people do it.Comment

That's the profile association screen. You then have to change the settings for the associated profiles separately. That's done in the settings menu. You can switch which profile you are configuring by using the L1/R1 buttons to toggle the profile.Yeah I'm totally confused about this Knight.. Re: 30 Team Control & Automatic Lineups
I also have a question. When you assign the different profiles to the other 29 teams, does it make a difference if you set difficulties and what not for the other teams. Like on my profile I have all star difficulty on hitting and pitching. Do I need to put the difficulty on all star for the other 29 teams as well or does it really make a difference. I don't want to make the game any easier or any harder than they normally would have been. I hope this makes sense, this is my first year using 30 team control.Comment

No...not for the CPU vs. CPU games that will go on in the background.I also have a question. Your option choices will be for the games you play for the other teams and will "take over".

Ok, so their difficulty won't effect how they play when I play them either correct? It will just go on my profiles difficulty level? Thanks for the help.Comment

Re: 30 Team Control & Automatic Lineups
I think I understood one of Knights post from earlier in this thread..
But I wanted to ask one more time to get clarification...
I usually try to go in and place prospects at AAA and AA (depending on age and potential) so that they will develop accordingly... If I understood Knight correctly, I could theoretically place all A potential prospects in Single-A and they would develop just fine without playing games?
Is this true? Am I wasting time ensuring prospects are getting correct playing time and not on the bench somewhere? Will they develop into their potential either way.. I thought allowing them to play provided them the chance to get "hot" or "cold", which could affect their potential. Will this happen if they are in Single-A???
What if I just placed the prospect in AAA or AA but allowed the CPR to handle lineups and rotations and the player was slotted to pinch hit only... Will this affect development (can they get hot or cold and affect potential in this role) What about a starter that is coming in from the bullpen at AAA/AA?
Thanks for any help.Last edited by braves2011; 04-08-2013, 04:15 PM.Comment

Re: 30 Team Control & Automatic Lineups
That's a very good question. I imagine the difficulty you have for CPU teams would be the difficulty it plays against you. Wait for Knight's response--I'm just guessing.Comment

That's what I was assuming. I changed everything in the computer teams profile to mirror mine just to be on the safe side.Comment

Re: 30 Team Control & Automatic Lineups
Quick question: so let's say on one of the CPU teams (let's use the Giants for example), Matt Cain gets injured. If a player is on the 40 man, he'll get called up to replace Cain, correct? Also, for this to occur, you have the "injuries" setting for the CPU profiles set to "auto," right?Comment

Re: 30 Team Control & Automatic Lineups
How do you stop non realistic trades from happening? Do you revert them back?
I got another profile where I set everything to auto. While playing with my original profile, I only get transaction news. Do I have to play with the other profile to actually decide about trade decisions?
I'm ok with having auto trades, but I just wanna jump in if something stupid is happening.Comment

Re: 30 Team Control & Automatic Lineups
Just check the pending trades page each day and if there is a proposed trade that you don't like, then just reject the trade. It really is that simple. How do you stop non realistic trades from happening? Do you revert them back?
