    Re: Unrealistic stats continuing

Is the dev team, or Russell, or whoever aware of this issue??

Is there any hope this will be patched?

I just picked up the show 13 the other day, and now I'm bummed to see there is no real point in playing RTTS, or even franchise mode for that matter. I feel like its not worth playing where the stats just end up being absurd after 6-8 years. How could they let this slip by?

Does this not happen in the show 12? Maybe I can trade my copy of 13 in for store credit since its within 7 days and pick up a copy of 12.

So is 12 better for long term RTTS/Franchise play?

Perhaps I could uninstall all othe patches? Would that fix the issue?

      Re: Unrealistic stats continuing

I'm up to June 1st and there are quite a few oddities, AJ Ellis hitting .353 and Kimbrel with 3 blown saves and an ERA of 4.15, just to mention a few.

So after reading through most of the comments, is it safe to assume that the stats in franchise will start to get completely crazy around the year 2020?

Just wanting to check as I am still just in May 2013 in my franchise. (I like to play nearly every game) I don't think I will be getting too far into the franchise anytime soon, but I would like to try.

I don't know about 2020, but so far 2013 has quite a few oddities, but I'm just in June. Still, Kimbrel with 3 blown saves and an ERA of 4.15 doesn't appear realistic, not that I expect realism from a video game, just saying...

I stand by my opinion that 12 is superior in smoothness and gameplay. They tried to cram too much into this years version. Now I wait for the ps4........

I have been doing a GM franchise with the Cubs and the year is 2023. I used the original osfm roster. In 2022 Rizzo Led the league with 45 HR's and had 137 RBI also leading the league. My Cubs had 109 Wins the next best team had 96 Wins. My Cubs had a .297 BA(1st).473 slug(3rd).361 obp(2nd) 4.58 era(4th). The Best pitcher in the league had a 2.77 era. The worst team era was 6.49. Billy Hamilton led the league with 59 SB's. The best BA with at least 500 ab's was .344. Also he lead the league in hits with 234.

These stats are the just like last year nothing has changed. Also their has only been 1 60hr years.

Because of the stats in 2020+?

Same thing was on MLB 12 bud

It may seem odd, but it isn't entirely unrealistic. Sometimes players, even the elite ones, will have their struggles.

This was in June and Kmibrel should not have a 4.15 ERA in June--have you seen that in real baseball from him? He has 13 saves and 3 blown saves, so at least 16 appearances. Tyler Colvin has 8 Assists in June. AJ Ellis is hitting .353 in June. Let me know when Kimbrel is struggling in June with an ERA over 4.

There will always be performance variations.

Look at how Mike Trout is doing so far this year. Did you expect that mediocrity from him after the last season? I bet you didn't... it happens all the time.

Joking aside, Nomo's right, and that's why this game is so good IMO

I'm pretty sure an ERA around 4 for half a season is not an anomaly for some closers, even those who are ridiculously consistent. Hell, at the end of June in 2007, Mariano Rivera had 11 saves, 2 blown saves, and an ERA of 3.98. Entering June his ERA was well north of 5.
