"New RTTS Player Creation options, including the ability to model your skills, appearance, and signature animations after a real MLB player"

Anyone care to speculate on this?

I always model my RTTS player off of a real life player anyways, like i usually do a SS/3B A-Rod/Machado type, and a SP Strasburg/ Verlander type.

So i wonder how this adds to the possibilities.

I'm hoping for the ability to add doing the Ken Griffey Jr. walk out of the box on a no-doubter without having to use his specific stance. So I could use David Ortiz's stance and Griffey's "celebration". Or different bat flips. Also maybe the ability to add in rituals like Nomar and his batting gloves. But those are just guesses.

Yeah i definitely hope we see something like that, but i doubt it though, because i think those animations are specifically only for their stances. Hopefully there are more generic no doubter animations though.

I really hope the online features for Franchise can make it in for offline. I don't play online and wouldn't just to get them.. So I hope they made it, just like others too.

The answer I've seen to that question is Yes. PS3 rosters transfer over to the PS4 as well.

I'm not sure how the online franchise will work. That may be transferable too, I've just seen confirmations of the offline franchise. Makes you want to buy the PS3 version and then upgrade doesn't it! If there was some kind of deal to do that for a $20 upgrade fee I might do it, but I'm not buying the game twice at $60 apiece.

There appears to be some differences--

•Online Franchise (PS3 & PS4) - Finally, Franchise mode can be shared with friends online, with most of the features from the offline version making the transition, including Scouting, the Amateur Draft, Free Agency and CPU Trades. The mode will remain highly customizable as scheduling, divisions, postseason spots and more are all commissioner options.

Exactly, if there were no differences there wouldn't be concern over them not making it into the regular franchise mode.

Plus there are people who play with their PS3 disconnected.

I am really quite surprised that the online franchise was made the priority for those new improvements--it almost seems a no brainer to me, particiularly those related to improved trade logic, etc, that offline franchise would be prioritized, and that seems to be borne out by a lot of the reactions in this thread.

Glad to see there's a Player Search, a previous baseball game had it years ago and it was so convenient... Thank You!

is there any word on whether you can cross-save with PS4 and Vita like you can with PS3?
