Re: MLB 14 The Show Franchise Progress

I'm surprised by some of these trades I've read about in this thread... if it's true that people had force trades off I'm assuming the team you use must have had a ton of prospects.

I've been screwing around with the Phillies in a franchise waiting for the OSFM roster to come out and I could only pull off one deal: I traded Dom Brown and two A rated prospects for Giancarlo Stanton.

This trade proves that the trade logic is a bit screwed up, but since that trade I haven't been able to pry any players away from other teams. I was looking for young pitching and Shelby Miller was on the trade block, I offered Jimmy Rollins (they were looking for a SS) and two A prospects and was rejected. So while there are certainly some trade logic problems I haven't experienced a ton first hand yet.

Re: MLB 14 The Show Franchise Progress

I haven't started my franchise yet, because I have been trying to practce to get good enough to start one. I have pitching down, but hitting seems to be very difficult on Allstar. I'm seeing quite a few losing records after reading through the thread. It has me worried that my franchise is doomed before it even starts. Hopefully I'm just being paranoid.

I was able to do something similar in a Cubs franchise I was messing around with. I think a lot of it has to do with teams being in rebuilding mode as are the Marlins.

I finally settled on the Marlins as my team and am loving them so far.

Amazing game last night: I was down 6-1 against the Yankees (end of 6th) and managed to win 6-7 with two back to back home runs (end of 9th). My biggest comeback ever in The Show.

Just finished my first game of my new franchise with the Twins. I'm a Mariners fan but they drive me nuts so I usually pick a team to rebuild and this year the Twins intrigued me. Nolasco pitched lights out for 6.2 innings, giving up a solo homer to Konerko and striking out 7. Josh Willingham put a Sale changeup into the CF seats in the first inning with one on to give me all the run support I needed. This franchise will be a warmup to the real one I start when the OSFM come out but I'm looking forward to continuing with the Twins.

Doing a sim chise where I only play the season opener and any playoff games. Went 72-90 and then 78-84. I'm starting my 3rd season with the Rockies. Had to move Tulo on account of his crazy salary. Here is my lineup and rotation starting the 2016 season.

                            C: W.Rosario-81
                            1B: C.Davis-94
