Re: Uniform Errors/Omissions
Really that's weird. I saw a blue warm up/batting jersey I thought it was that but I'm not sure but your saying that the jersey the crowd wears is the missing uniform, that's crazy. Why would they do this?Comment

Re: Uniform Errors/Omissions
For real though. They should just fix this but they won't. There's 30 teams. So right off the bat one of every thirty baseball fans that bought this game are disappointed. But the catch is they already bought it. There's no leverage. Makes no sense for them to fix it. It won't make them an extra dime. We can't even buy their competition. They have none. So the only thing we can do is keep yapping about it until someone says they'll make sure next year to have the Mets properly done.

Maybe I'm naïve, but I trust SCEA to put in (hopefully next year) a lot more effort on an exclusive for their platform instead of taking the EA approach and how they've made Madden a roster update every year. The cut scenes are cool, but after you see them x times, you just skip them. I'd rather have things that affect visuals ON the field.Comment

Re: Uniform Errors/Omissions
No, it is not. There is this thing in the press/media that they call responsible journalism. It means KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT before shooting your mouth off. I know it, in reality, is quite different than what we have here, but my goodness, just because a million people answer "because it is in the style guide" doesn't mean you have to just to get it said. Ridiculous.
In MLB 13, and MLB 12, it was pinstripe pants. If it was in the style guide, both of those years were inaccurate. No team has EVER worn pinstripe tops and plain pants.

I dont know if this goes here but as usual the dodgers shoes cant be fully editted and this year, more sections are blocked than usual.
Its so irritating seeing all the stupid looking shoes on my boys in blue. If they were to block everything, at least make it so all the shoes are blue.

Re: Uniform Errors/Omissions
Just to update/inform about uniform errors/omissions, here are a few Cleveland Indians errors...
1. Batting Helmets
The Indians now have one batting helmet that they use for all home/away/weekend games. It is black with a red block "C." ...and while that red-blue block "C" in the game is spiffy, it doesn't actually exist...
<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/73639651@N07/14275208004" title="BATTING HELMETS by Convoytron, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5273/14275208004_3691c7f7e6_z.jpg" width="640" height="362" alt="BATTING HELMETS"></a>
2. Spring Training/Warmup Jersey Numbers
The lettering and numbers on the back of the ST/warmup jerseys are blue with a white outline in reality. (these jerseys are hideous to begin with, no amount of fixing can make them look better...)
<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/73639651@N07/14273583772" title="SPRING TRAINING JERSEYS by Convoytron, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5517/14273583772_a24baa604c_z.jpg" width="640" height="366" alt="SPRING TRAINING JERSEYS"></a>
3. Alternate Home Uniform Accessories
This is probably a style guide issue (no big deal) but I'll put it out there anyway (not in any way trying to start a style guide argument)... The Indians wear red socks and shirts with their cream alternate home uniforms, no longer do they sport the midnight navy blue accessories.
<a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/73639651@N07/14275651745" title="CREAM JERSEYS WITH RED SOCKS_SHIRTS by Convoytron, on Flickr"><img src="https://farm3.staticflickr.com/2940/14275651745_89b5c5396d_z.jpg" width="640" height="536" alt="CREAM JERSEYS WITH RED SOCKS_SHIRTS"></a>
I saw that someone mentioned the Indians '70s road uniforms were wrong, but they are actually correct in the game- they had both red and grey road pants they wore with the red top back then, so SDS got it right in-game. I love that they are in the game, and would love to maybe see the '48 or '64 unis in addition/in place of the old '20s uniforms that are currently in game.
...Random question though... What is the purpose of having Home/Away warmup hats/jerseys/pants in the game? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the hats and jerseys never change when playing home or away, just the pants. Would eliminating those extra slots open up room for more/different uniform options? Just genuinely curious, I had always wondered about this.Comment

Re: Uniform Errors/Omissions
Majestic and Cooperstown Collection probably have a deal in place for uniforms to feature. Majestic had pushed very hard in the past for batting jersey and hat sales. They change every other year or so and majestic wants them to be considered essential uniform items. I doubt they'd be happy if those slots were eliminated.
The batting helmets and socks I hope in the future will be able to be selected individually. Mets have the same issue with helmets that don't exist.
I have three major gripes with aesthetics in this game:
1. Mets uniforms are a disaster.
2. Earmuffs in June. Seriously. No fan wears winter gear at the park from May to September.
3. Grounds crew after the game, who are being watched by the earmuff wearing fans. Just why?

Re: Uniform Errors/Omissions
The Giants uniforms are slightly incorrect. They wear their orange alternate jerseys for Friday night home games. They wear their orange billed caps on Sundays, home or away. They never wear the orange billed cap with the orange jersey.
edit: I'm not sure if this is an error in the game or if this is how it is irl, but it irks me that 3 out of the 4 Mariners jerseys have block numbers, while one jersey has numbers that are similar to the Baltimore Ravens number font. All jerseys should have the same fonts imo.
edit 2: Something I've always wondered: how big of a PITA would it be for SCEA to program in for all stars to actually wear their teams' uniforms for the ASG, like they do in real life? I don't know anything about code or anything so I'm not sure what all would go into it.Last edited by WeWereGiants; 06-18-2014, 06:36 AM.San Francisco 49ers
