@ sweetwater
yeah..as funky as his windup is, it would be nice maybe next year, they bring it back....
I'm using Nolasco's for him...it's the closest. NOT perfect, but it looks good considering....
For 2017...

ALEJANDRO (ALEX) SANABIA-SP (Marlins)
Alejandro aka 'Alex' Sanabia
Born in the U.S.
There is no delivery that is really close...
Lowe's would sort of be ok, IF it was slowed up some
I looked at Gen 41, Pavano, Pedro's and a few others...
I'm gonna stick with Carmona's
For his stance--again, nothing precise--I'm sticking with Gen 50
and FYI, the guy does NOT throw a 4-seam fastball AT ALL.
His arsenal..in this order:
Sinker-92mph (movement 70)
a HELLACIOUS Circle Change-84mph (movement 90)
Slider: 85mph (movement 85)For 2017...

Re: BATTING STANCE/PITCHING DELIVERY THREAD
Hey Carew, great stuff as always.
Do you have anything better for Madison Bumgarner than Gen 27? From the windup it's ok, but the the strech isn't great.
Thanks for any input.Comment

Re: MADISON BUMGARNER
Madison Bumgarner:
well, we KNOW Gen 27 ain't happening...that's a sidearm delivery....
I narrowed his delivery down to three:
Gen 55
Guthrie
Lester
NONE of them have all of the components
Gen 55-the finish with the hanging left arm, ain't good
Guthrie-his glove starting position aint quite in front of his face
Lester-would be the best, but in real time, this delivery is slower than his own
NONE of the deliveries finishes with him almost in an upright position...
I'm gonna go with Guthrie
regarding the stretch...forget about it...
IF this was 2K5 (?)..back then, you had that option to assign SEPERATE full deliveries and stretch positions to pitchers...
I don't worry about the stretch, the delivery is more important to me...same with batting stances...personally I couldn't give a damn about one or two hand...just give me the closest, most accurate stance...
For Bumgarner's stance, I'm gonna go with Berra
His arsenal:
Cutter-91mph
Slider-85mph
4-Seam-92mph
Changeup-81mph
Sweeping Curve-76mph
For 2017...
