Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
hey Knight I didn't look to see what you even released today but I am guessing its a teaser and not the one I'll want to edit w/ my stances or DL for myself. I did however see on mlbdepthcharts.com they are going to be putting up projected lines ups vs. lefties and righties. They started with the padres and the guy is waiting for feedback. This should help your line ups if you still need help w/ those. A real helpful site over. I should hopefully be done w/ the AL stances by later tonight or tomorrow. I was almost done yesterday but after seeing the Blue Jays game and a few others on my MLB.tv, some guys definitely needed to be edited again (Rolen comes to mind)Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
They're not even my rosters and I want everyone to use them.
Knight, my PS3 is still broken, so I can't look at the rosters. I just wanted to tell you that if you created Joe Savery (Phillies) he should have some some decent hitting and running ability. He was drafted in the first round of the 2007 draft as a pitcher, but he would have been drafted in the first round as a hitter if he had decided that he didn't want to pitch. Clearwater even used him as a DH in '08. Plus, if I remember correctly the Phillies were thinking about converting him back to a position player for a while in '08. I meant to tell you this before, but I forgot to.
He was the last man on the Phils....and someone asked for Gose.
Perhaps he makes it back for the final...

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Hey knight, great roster. I was wondering though, I happened to notice when I was adding music to the players that Brad Wilkerson didn't have his commentary audio names put in. Wasn't sure if the commentators still name the guy anyways or if this was just a miss. Not that i care too much since I'm not looking to call up Wilk unless all hell's broken loose but just curious. Sorry if it seems finnicky. Really not trying to come off like that. Did I mention I'm eternally grateful??Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
I actually want Melancon in. There will be some extra B pitchers on the FA list..and I wanted to make sure I had everyone else coverd(the Yankees were EARLY in the process)....so PM me...and I will get him in.
I'm asking for PM's....because it's easier for me to remember it this way...my print server is busted(I used to print out all suggestions/requests)
Thanks!

I don't know about Wilkerson....I didn't do anything to him.
I wonder...

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
I was just curious if we oughta sweep through the created guys and make sure theyre named in the commentator slot as well for ya just in case, and if there are a few, give you a list so your final roster is even cleaner. I actually don't think you had him named in the AL Only teaser either so it might've just been a miss which, you know, happens considering you're not the mlb robot you practically seem to be the way you plug away at this stuff. But if we could build one to assist you...Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Thank you to whoever made that suggestion and thank you for including him, Knight.
Savery, according to many baseball publications, has slipped down the prospect ranks, but those publications are wrong. Savery is one of the most gifted and naturally talented players in the country. He has plus tools as a pitcher and even greater plus tools as a hitter. He's the type of player that will excel at whatever his organization wants him to do. The greatest compliment that I can give him is just to refer to him as a pure baseball player. I hope you know what I mean by that.
If you don't have room for him, people can always create him after they start their franchise. The same goes for all of the other players who aren't included.
Thanks for everything, Knight.Last edited by Jason_19; 04-09-2009, 12:58 AM.Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Hello Knight,
I hope all is well! Great rosters, I'm looking forward to start my Yankees franchise.
I noticed that you took Sony's Travis Snider and put him the FA pool and added your version; ???.
Will your upcoming rosters be much different (besides lineups etc.)?
Be safe!Comment

I think he's an A potential guy....there are a few...but that one I had to change IMO.
Jason...you're right and while he did slip...I put him in..only a C potential...but he would still have the chance.
That's the thing I love about the Full Minors...either down the road a few years...when you're trying to develop a player to take over a spot on your roster...maybe not a superstar...but I guy who can fill a need on your club....having a "real" player to do it makes all the difference to me.(and I'm guessing a lot of people!)...
Or even when you are simply getting decimated by injury...or are just very shallow at depth at a position...it's nice to have a "real" guy that you might follow a little to fill in for two weeks until your regular comes off the DL.
...I at least hope that's what people get out of my set...

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Hey Knight,
Don't think anyone answered this. But you mentioned about how you weren't sure how Byrnes was going to play into the lineup (whether filling in solely Upton or not). From what I've been reading, Byrnes will be in the lineup when the matchup is the best, whether it be for Young, Jackson or Upton. Jackson could also see some possible action at first some games, so make that his second position.

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
I've got a question: Does the link on page 144 contain the minor leaguers for the Cincinnati Reds? I thought I heard earlier that the NL Central and NL West hadn't been done yet. I will wait for the complete one if that is true.Comment
