1 and out. None of that regular reliever going 2-3 innings stuff. The situational guys will even go only for 2 thirds of an inning sometimes. Occaisionally they'll only go for one batter.

Knight, if you don't want to release an unfinished product, I hope that you don't feel pressured into it. If you do release an unfinished version, there will be a ton of people who will not know that it's an early release and will complain about certain things not being included.

Yeah but I think it's up to the people to know that it's an early release. I think we're smart enough to be able to tell it's an early release as long as he labels it as such.

Update for the Pirates, Ohlendorf has been confirmed to start the season in the rotation and Jaramillo will be the backup catcher.

Diaz, Pearce and Machado were sent to AAA Indianapolis Indians. An interesting note being that Pearce will now exclusivly be used at 1B as he is now heir apparent to Adam LaRoche. This means that Garrett Jones will probably be playing in RF for the AAA Indians.

I really like Garrett Jones, I hope he makes it with the Buccos. Hey and Cutch is still in big league camp, went 5 for 5 today with a HR and 3 doubles and 2 RBIs, hmm could he make the big league club? I doubt it, but hey ya never know

Ok.. probably been answered and I missed it somewhere but how did the "A" prospects get determined? Was it a mixture of three or four of the main rating sites put into one or what?
I am just curious as to how that was done?

Nice, thanks. Also, a B? from what I read this kid is going to be the anchor of which ever team he ends up playing for in the Majors.

Villalona has a lot of holes in his game. His strikezone discipline and vision makes Nick Noonan look like god (ok, thats a stretch, Noonan is equally horrible), but he strikes out more. He isn't going to be able to play 3B, so 1B is his home. No reason he should be ranked higher than

and in my opinion Max Ramirez, Kyle Blanks, Kila Kaiahue, Beau Mills, and Chris Carter are potentially better prospects depending on who you ask (I love the Kila monster). If I was truly going with my gut I would put all those guys ahead of him, but I have him right after Kila.

I didn't realize that Andy Phillips will likely start the season on DL and then go to AAA as well. It was looking like he would win the final spot on the bench but now it is down to Cruz and Bixler. The Pirates are likely looking to Bixler to take over SS if Wilson is traded and Vasquez can't handle it, so look for Bixler to be the starting SS for AAA Indians and Cruz on the bench.

Guys.....
No early release....while I'm working on the set...they are a mess. Guys with just initials(their potential rating so I don't have to keep looking all the way to the right for that....it's his name...so there are a lot of Oswaldo C and Kevin D's around...)...
plus I have guys all over the place and will go through the roster man by man to get them in the right place on the right squad. As it is now....if I find the proper potential guy...I edit him where he is and will move everyone later.
Just way too much work to get it out sorted out just for an early release of incomplete, untested rosters, which as someone has stated....someone will download and start bitching about something I didn't even set yet.
As for the guy who said it's up to everyone to realize that on their own(not knocking you....just c'mon....this is the internet! )

I agree, Bixler has been a stud this spring bringing back his prospect status, so they will most likely want him in AAA to play, not be a bench guy with the Bucs.

Hey did you see Wilson initiated talks with the Pirates for a contract extention? Bixler could be blocked for a little bit longer or move to 2nd base.

a couple of notes on the Nats rotation that may help you.
Balester is going down to AAA so the nats rotation will be
Lannan
Olsen
Cabrera
Martis

due to their scheduling they will only carry 4 starters the first few weeks of the season and carry an extra position player (looks like that may be Dmitri Young at this point). Then Jordan Zimmermann will be called up to be the 5th starter.

Also just a nitpick since I've seen it on a few roster releases, do not forget the extra 'N' on his last name. Jordan Zimmermann

Also Wily Mo Pena was placed on waivers. we have to see if any one claims him before sending him to AAA. Milledge was also named leadoff man several days ago, in case you missed it
