Just a quick update (in case it has been missed) - D. Ward of Cincinnati was released.

Dusty loves him. I'm surprised he let him get released. His skills must be deteriorating even more. Seems like a good guy though. He'll probably end up somewhere since he's a left-handed bat with occasional pop that can come off the bench.

Knight I apologize in advance if this has been answered already, i dont think it has tho. What do you think of Drew Stubbs and Yonder Alonso of Cincy? I became a fan of the Reds when Griff got traded to them, and they grew on me Sorry if its been answered already, and for taking up your time. Thanks for you and your crews hard work

I'm not sure what he thinks about Drew Stubbs. Hopefully, he thinks very highly of him like I do. Drew Stubbs is one of my all-time favorite players. I also think that he's possibly the most underrated prospect in all baseball.

Any word on a possible Strasburg CAP? I think it would be pretty cool to have him in the game. If not, no worries. You guys do a great job with the players that are in the game.

One set will have edits...for lineups and general gameplay.(position players)
One will have the stock ratings from SCEA.
Both will have the same Full Minor leaguers.

That makes it seem like there will be multiple rosters put in roster vault...what differs the top from the middle? Which would be the better one to use in franchise, and why?

Knight, are we stuck with the potential of prospects who have already been in the majors or are you able to change them somehow (re-create the player or something)? For example: Jeff Larish is a "D" potential for the Tigers, but he should really be a "C". It's not a major discrepency for Larish, but there may be others that would have a larger gap. I'm just curious.

sedonadback1034 - i believe he will make one set of rosters with the edited player ratings in order for the cpu to keep the lineups as accurate as possible. then he'll have another set keeping all the players' ratings stock, where the lineups will not reflect real-life as much because of those stock ratings.

Soooo I just tried the workaround and then loaded knightAL minors roster and A-Rod's HR total is at 221!? Looked at Teixeira and he's still at 203 HRs though... So it's as if A-Rod's stats got switched with someone else cause i always thought the glitch originally swapped his and Teixeira's totals. Tried the workaround and loaded an online roster from March 12th only to get the same result. Really strange. Maybe someone else should try this out so it stops blowing my mind.

Maybe that is A-Roid's actual total while not on the juice! :wink:

Yep...this is exactly right.
I will keep a stock rating set for those in love with SCEA's ratings(there is PASSION about it! ....and you're the man Lorne)..this one the lineup logic will have the lineups differ from the MLB in some cases(no way for SCEA to have the game reflect a managers quirky tendencies on batting orders!)
Then I will have one to "fix" the lineups(make them reflect the MLB is really the term)...
Both will have the Full Minor leagues.

I would imagine making editable potential ratings wouldn't be that difficult, but what do I know. It would make the editing process sooooooooooo much easier, though! Like I need to tell you that!

Are these rosters including any attribute adjustments other than to make the lineups correct? What I mean is, as an example, G. Blanco for the Braves has a speed rating below what I think would be accurate. Even if you don't agree with this example, you get what I mean by attribute adjustments. Will your roster have ANY edits to the original SCEA player ratings?

hey knight, thanks for the hard work. like everyone else I am looking forward to rosters. I am curious what ratings you have to change or fix to help with cpu line up issues? I played the royals and cpu had gordan batting #2. I love this game though. I am a 2k convertee. I just bought a ps3 just for this game. easy come easy go on the tax refund. again thanks for the hard work
