Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Knight I noticed that you still have Kevin Gregg as the setup guyfor the Cubs, he blew his first save for the Cubs yesterday.
EDIT: I just put the Cubs game on and Marmol is the closer. I am confused right nowNHL: Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks
OHL: London Knights
MLB: Miami Marlins, Toronto Blue Jays
Frontier League baseball: London RippersComment

Yes...I read that....
I'm going with Soto...
That will give that AA Reds infield some major talent!
Alonso-Valaika-Soto
(*I realize that is their Single A infield...but I mean for the game with the prospects)

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Frazier has to be included, one of the Reds top prospects, he is a utility player, IF and OF.Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Marmol was closing tonight, because the bullpen had been sucking all day and Lou wanted to go with somebody he knew he could trust (Marmol - the only guy back from last year's opening day roster). Gregg will still be the closer, at least for now.Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Kevin Gregg right now is the official Cubs closer, Marmol saved the game this night, everything changes often in this sports, perahps Gregg was not the option in today game or his arm was tiredComment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
I am with JohnnyC....and no not because I played on the same Toms River High School South team with him...but because he is going to be a very talented Major League Player. Seriously....I think he can be a Bill Hall mold player with better average. Can play everywhere and has + speed and and great approach at the plate.Comment

If there is a place for Frazier though he is still seen as a top prospect in the organizationComment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Knight does however make a Legends roster that will probably include these players maybe your lineup could be.
C-
1B- McGwire
2b- Alomar
3B- Camanitti (SP)
SS- A-Roid (Texas)
LF- Bonds
CF- Sosa
RF- Palmerio
SP- Clemens
DH- Canseco
Actually that is one heck of a lineup...Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Hi All,
I have been following this thread for a while now (page 20 or so), and like everyone else looking forward to the roster and thankful for all the hard work that is being put into making this game more fun for the rest of us freeloaders.
Question, can someone explain to me how the potential works? so say if i look at Francisco Pena (Mets C prospect) who is 19 years old and has a C potential in the game (along with some pretty low hitting attributes)...is it a matter of the player improving (through training and playing every day) as he stays in the minors? does the C potential mean that his chances of becoming a starter in the ML are minimal? Can potential improve or is it determined from the onset?
BTW i am playing with the latest Knight roster and i think its great, especially the Mets minor leaguers...guess it helps that he is a Mets fan :wink:Comment
