Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
I guess that's OK for Green and Kunz, although for Feliciano, I think it should be more of a 2 seamer with a ton of break instead of a sinker.
And for K-Rod, on the roster, he has a slider. I think you made that a cutter. In reality, he uses a slider grip and it has more of a slider break, it's a slider, not a cutter. Unless I'm mistaken and that's not the switch you made with him, and you did something else.
I guess if you're trying to get the movement over the right name, a knuckle curve makes sense for Stokes, but I'm almost positive he doesn't use a knuckle curve grip, it's just a slow curveball.
Runner seems about right for Figueroa.
Parnell's has movement, but it's not always inward movement. I guess maybe I can add a cutter or something even though it really isn't a true cutter.
For Daisuke, I think a 2 seamer with a ton of movement is better than a splitter, although admittedly I've only seen about 10 of his MLB games. My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Can't wait for the rosters. Glad to see tree3five approved the Pirates. I haven't taken a look yet.
Off the wall question. I'm curious what the OVR next to everyone's name means. Like for a while I was a 8, then went to a 7, now I'm a 6. Not sure why it fluctuates and what it is."I am more valuable to my team hitting .330 than swinging for home runs." - Roberto Clemente

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Well here's what we did. We used www.60ft6in.com and Lindy's baseball preview magazine along with other sources to determine pitch types. The thing is with the whole fastball thing is that most pitchers in the majors have movement on their fastballs. Problem is that in the show 4 seam fastballs don't move at all so it is unrealistic for most pitchers to have them. So we did away with most 4 seamers unless the pitchers fastball was actually straight. For pitches like sliders depending on the downward break that they had we made them slurves. For curveballs we made them 12-6, Sweeping, or regular curveballs based on break. Everything is based on break on this set. If you see in a pitcher interview where a pitcher says he throws a slider but it breaks like a curveball no matter what that guy says he's getting a sweeping curve or slurve because that's what the break implies.Let's Go Yankees!

Hey Knight... Great work... Please spend some decent time on the Rockies to get them as accurate as possible; I'm sure you will.
Also I never got a response to if you are redoing manangers and coaching staffs?? Somebody said you can't edit them but Ridin' edited them and they look great. Can't wait for the final version with NL West done. Thanks againComment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
For K-Rod, he definitely does throw a sweeping curve. But he also throws a little slider with a small, quick break at the end. I think that's the pitch you meant to put in with the cutter you gave him, which is understandable, I just think it's a bit more of a slider, although a cutter probably works too.
Also, Oliver Perez should probably somehow be worse, or Pelfrey better, Pelfrey's probably the 2nd best starter on the Mets, he's 4th IIRC on these rosters.Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Sounds about right, a runner and 2 seamer are pretty similar in the game, but I'd say a runner is probably better since Parnell's doesn't break as much as a 2 seamer. I wish they had 4 seamers breaking though, since in reality a guy like Parnell has his fastball sometimes break in and sometimes out. So stupid that they have 4 seamers go straight.

I still don't remember giving him a cutter but I'll put the little slider in.
I don't think knight wants me messing with attributes on this version. My latest project - Madden 12 http://www.operationsports.com/forum...post2043231648Comment

There is no way to do it.
Different dated SCEA downloads had different coaches...FROM SCEA.
I hope he wasn't saying he did anything to the coaches.

If I create a pitcher...I will take any suggestions on them....they are TOUGH! to nail down IMO.
Speaking of.....
Benson
Milton(AAA)
