If you don't play with roster control off then how would you know what happens when roster control is set to off?

I've experimented with it on many occasions. I just don't play a franchise that way. Also, it is info from many people here whose posts I know I can count on.
Also, FYI, most lineups will look correct until you go to play. When you go to play the actual game they do not stick. Maybe you are getting lucky with your Pirates. Try a drastic change like leading off your Catcher. You will see it looks correct at the lineup screen, but when you play, they are not correct. Trust me, many of us have done this.

Try another team if you have time, change the lineup (do a drastic change like leading off your Catcher) and you will see it doesn't stick when you play the game.

A second controller to set the lineups for the opposing team works before the game. You have to switch it back to the CPU after you enter the game.

I have not had a single problem with my team and I have played every game and I'm almost 2 months into the season. I could really care less about the other teams. I want the CPU to control those teams. You can't recreate every little thing that happens in real life neither do I want to. I play the game to get away from real life so I don't want to control everything that happens on all 30 orgs, which is why I don't play with roster control on.

I would like to add that I have made roster moves with calling up and sending players down based on bad performances and injuries and moved the lineup around because of this and such, just like you would normally do to your lineup when you make moves or sit players out for rest, and still no problems.

Yes, the first edition of the final roster will be available in the roster vault tonight.

I have not had a single problem with my team and I have played every game and I'm almost 2 months into the season. I could really care less about the other teams. I want the CPU to control those teams. You can't recreate every little thing that happens in real life neither do I want to. I play the game to get away from real life so I don't want to control everything that happens on all 30 orgs, which is why I don't play with roster control on.

Hey Knight do you keep a list of all the injured players in AAA that would normally be on the MLB roster? I'd like to call them up myself before I start a franchise. So far the guys I can think of are A-Rod, Mauer, Glaus, and maybe Ichiro. If anyone else has any names, I'd love to hear them.

not rushing at all, just anxious, keep up the great work guys, you all make the game 10X better than out of the box, SCEA should hire you to do all roster updates...

When the first version of Knights roster is out(which is set for tonight)....will all you bee using this one to start your franchises or will you all wait for the next 2 versions...and if so why....thanks.

I personally think I'm going to wait for the stock ratings... I'd rather have the players attributes be more accurate than the lineups. My personal opinion is that the second I start a franchise, I'll control the Tribe, and the computer can control the rest however they see fit... if the Rockies wanna bat Helton leadoff, that's their prerogative
