Hey Knight do you keep a list of all the injured players in AAA that would normally be on the MLB roster? I'd like to call them up myself before I start a franchise. So far the guys I can think of are A-Rod, Mauer, Glaus, and maybe Ichiro. If anyone else has any names, I'd love to hear them.

this is something i found online..it has the opening day rosters with their salaries and it notes the players on the DL so this could be useful for what you want to do

OK, I covered this just a few pages back, but here's the rundown as I know it:

The historical stats are wrong with older rosters (A-rod has ~200 HRs, etc.) The workaround in this roster section by Ninjoid no longer works, FYI. As mentioned before Knight's roster will have the historical stats glitch unless SCEA's patch can address older rosters like his. Some say the historical stat glitch is fixed with the newest SCEA roster and in Ridins roster. I don't personally know so you will have to check on that.

With CPU roster control off, the CPU sets the lineups the way it sees fit based on its logic. Some do not like it (it may have Helton leading off, Tejada batting 2nd, etc.), and it doesn't bother other people. Lineups appear to be based on ratings. Knight alleviated a lot of the lineup problems in his rosters by doing some minor edits to the players. After the first release he will release a roster with his minor leaguers and without any edits to the SCEA players.

With CPU roster control ON, the lineups you set for the CPU under CPU roster control do not stay where you put them (last year this worked fine) like they should. This is a broken feature.

The latter (CPU roster control ON) will probably be fixed with a patch, but no one knows for sure. As for the historical stat bug, they know about it, but we aren't sure if they will/can fix it.

When the first version of Knights roster is out(which is set for tonight)....will all you bee using this one to start your franchises or will you all wait for the next 2 versions...and if so why....thanks.

I'm waiting for the final version with Knight's attribute adjustments and all the stances and pitch edits. SCEA does a really bad job with the their attributes.

I personally think I'm going to wait for the stock ratings... I'd rather have the players attributes be more accurate than the lineups. My personal opinion is that the second I start a franchise, I'll control the Tribe, and the computer can control the rest however they see fit... if the Rockies wanna bat Helton leadoff, that's their prerogative

I'll be waiting to... Dare I ask when that set might be completed?

i heard that today was the day it would come out, not sure if thats true or what...

not rushing at all, just anxious, keep up the great work guys, you all make the game 10X better than out of the box, SCEA should hire you to do all roster updates...

If SCEA hired Knight then he wouldn't be allowed to make these wonderful rosters for us. SCEA isn't allowed to make players that haven't played a game in the majors because they aren't part of the MLBPA.

It would be cool of them to give him some kind of software to make the rosters though, so they are easier for him to make and so he can get them to us quicker.

any idea when that will come out? becuz I agree they do, do a poor job and i know knights will be great but i'm not sure i can handle waiting much more than another week

There was talk earlier this week about when the latest version is released today, Knight's going to give it to RaZR & strut to put the finishing touches on it for next weekend. So you might have to wait until then for the completely finished product.

my understand is that Knights fixes will also help the CPU roster control ON? as in his tweaks will keep guys batting to close to where they should be and do not get jumbled w/ Helton batting lead off etc? Am I wrong? It only helped the CPU roster control OFF?

Not really sure there is any expected release time. My assumption is that since knight was willing to do this in the first place it's possible that he is a perfectionist. With that assumption in mind it's not to hard to assume that he wants the first final version to be as accurate as he can get it.

I would also assume he is going through all the PM's he got and making any necessary changes.

Who knows, they might be released as early as 5 minutes from now or as late as tomorrow night.
