Top 40 Braves Prospects:
The Top 20 is ranked at the top with some comments, and the next 20 best prospects are listed below that.

Somethings to note about this list:
It's slightly outdated since Tyler Flowers, Jon Gilmore and Brent Lillibridge (who would be in the game anyways) were both shipped to Chicago for Javier Vasquez.

Also...some editing to these grades may be needed, as Tommy Hanson (SP) is listed only as a B+, but he's rated higher (#4) than Jason Heyward (OF) (#5) in the recently released Baseball American Top 100 (http://www.baseballamerica.com/today...09/267698.html). Also 3 other Braves made the top 100...Jordan Schafer--OF(#42), Gorkys Hernandez--OF(#62), and Freddie Freeman--1B(#87)

aaah, another year, another Knight rosters release! I'm looking forward to your rosters guys. I put the game on hold Saturday. I can't wait to get my hands on it. I really haven't been this excited about a game since well, last years version!

Hey, Knight, do you know if editing is any easier this year? Did they fix some of the bugs like not being able to use L2 R2 to switch teams (I remember there was a work around however)?

Well, I hope.

...anyway, it's basically the same. They did put the levels all on the same page now...so you can see your entire club at once(by position.....too many for everyone). They also made moving guys from level to level easier.
We'll see in a couple of days!

It's all good man. I've already had to start over as let's just say that my wife will never be allowed to download anything again as she got a virus on my one computer. So, now i am doing this from a super duper encrypted virus free computer. I have already completed 8 of the 18 teams completed. This happened yesterday evening So, mind you I am not sleeping for a few days so I can get this completed.

Also, knight, I am still planning on doing the fax/handwriting thing especially after this fiasco. So, once I am ready, it's passed to you.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that. I've lost all of my roster information a couple of times on other games.

An easy way to back up your files is to copy your information to a thumb drive. I might be stating the obvious, but this is something that I still forget to do sometimes.

I know you said you had each teams top 15 covered, but I am wondering where you are getting your top 15 list from.

For example, on the White Sox, OF Jordan Danks might be on some Top15 lists, but probably not all of them.

Yeah I agree with JoeCool...i didnt know what players you had on your Top 15 or not...

I run a site on the Oakland A's Minor Leagues (their short-season team who have had about 90% of all their prospects come through our stadium), so I'll PM you guys once you respond to the question of where your list is from. I can give you scouting reports on just about everybody in the system if you want.

And will this be out for Opening Day 09? Is there also a roster update from you guys on here that'll be available the day the game comes out with the latest signings, or do we do it manual? Doesnt matter either way :wink:

I'll coordinate with boss....and then list the top 15 I'll be using(or trying to use)
Don't forget...the top 15 is only a starting point.....according to what type of positions need to be filled, I may go down to at 30 on some squads.

A player who was hurt all last year who didn't make it into your roster set but i hope to see this time around is Padres P Will Startup. Not sure on his health status but i love his name haha

Sorry for the stupid question and if it's been asked, Knight, but with the new roster vault...does this mean we don't have to transfer the file from the CPU anymore? IOW, once your full minors/OD roster is ready...I can just go to the roster vault and download it from there????

Hey Knight...i saw in some of the previous posts how players still seemed to be ranked by "the bar" system...is that also how the individual rating system works too? is it just the bar? is there a 1-100 or maybe grade letters? just curious. thanks.

There are both now....sort of...
IN THE EDITOR
There is the bar for the attribute as well as a corresponding number next to it. Easier to edit/create like that.
But in the game itself....you only see the bar...(ie...the player card)

Not a stupid question at all...it's totally new, so unless you've seen it...you wouldn't know!
If I(or anyone) uploads their roster to the Roster Vault...then anyone can download them directly to their PS3...no PC needed.
