Strictly out of curiosity but once these rosters are released will there be custom sounds added? I know I have batter walk ups set up right now and will lose them once I DL this file which made me wonder

Nope. You have to re-do them. Custom music is not tied to the rosters. It's tied to your HDD.

That would be true so I feel stupid for asking now because it's obvious, thanks for slapping me in the back of my head

I think someone asked this earlier, but how is the AI's trading logic with these custom minor league rosters? For example, would a guy like Matt Wieters be pretty much untouchable? Or, if the Blue Jays trade Roy Halladay, would they be getting several A potential prospects in return?

I didn't have The Show last year, so I'm not sure how the trade logic and Knight and Co's rosters worked together.

I can't believe how much work you guys put into this, especially with the unfriendly roster screens this year. Kudos to you and thanks for all of your hard work.

It does take into account prospects and potential. Also, I personally think that this years roster screens are way better then last year. You can scroll, see the ENTIRE team as well as now, there are #'s to go with the ratings. If you didn't have it last year, be glad in terms of dealing with rosters cause it was a pain in the arse..

I believe 2-3 weeks after Opening Day. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I know this has already been discussed and the answer was no by Knight and Co. but does anybody with a PS3 think they'd be up to the task of posting a text version of these rosters? I know it's a huge order, but us PS2 users would really like to use these in our own franchises. An excel spreadsheet would be ideal but even just a word document listing everything would suffice.

We used 1st roster update with Knight's lineup edit fix.

                          Your first question, 101 now.

Hopefully. If I am correct, Razr is flying, or having an easier time then first though and is moving along quickly through his part. Once he is done, it then is going to knight. I think this is the problem. I think a lot of people think that knight has the roster now and is working on it. He doesn't have it yet.
Anyway, once he gets it, he is going to go through and create the players. I know that myself and I think 1 other person is doing research on the players. I can tell you this, I have 6 teams 100% completed in terms of names, position, height, weight, Bat Hand, Thrown Hand, and scouted and rated. The other teams, I have completed everything but the scouted and rated part and due to the template i've created, it should take about 30-45 minutes per team to fill in the info for scouting and rating using the resources I have. The main sources are Mckamey's Minor league baseball analyst which is a pure sabermetrics book with top 10-15 prospects for each team and I am also using baseball america's prospect handbook as well as insider website thanks to an AWESOME member of this community. I don't want to name him due to the fact that I don't want people to bombard him and ask for his log in info, but you know who you are and as I said in my PM, THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN, YOU HAVE SAVED A LOT OF TIME..

Well, I don't know how knight feels about this, I don't know if he would have a problem with it. I don't see why not. From my end, I am actually, not doing this project on a computer. I tried and well, I found myself printing it and then fixing it. So, my sheets are all handwritten. I am going to fax them to knight and he will have them. So, with my originals, I have no problem scanning them into my computer and emailing them to you on a request basis. If that sounds ok to you, let me know and I will keep you up to speed on when we are finished.

If this does come to fruition, and this is not directed at you but for all of you who would want this text file, please don't ask when it would be completed. The only time it will be posted is when we are completely done with this whole project.

                          Thanks,
                          Boss

I think Andrus is a better prospect than Beltre and Main, and might be a better talent than Salty. He should really be higher up on the list(and its not just me, BA ranked him 4th in their system, behind Feliz, Holland and Smoak). I watched Andrus play at the Futures game this year, and he's a helluva talent. Great range, blazing fast speed, I think he'll be a guy who hits .300/.350/.420(If he gets just a bit stronger), and steals 50 bases.
That's something that I took off a Rangers baseball site and not exactly my personal opinion. I do agree that Salty isn't all that special but I'm just not ready to put Andrus too high on the list until he shows at least some interest in not becoming the next Alfonso Soriano (read - a guy that can hit for some power, good average, and great speed but can't field a ball).

I just wanted to say thank you to Knight, Razor, Jim, Boss and everyone else involved with this. I have read the OS boards for awhile and can say that because of these boards and Knights work I had traded in my 360 to get the PS3. For some reason my wife thought with having a 1 year old I shouldn't have every game system, but I will survive I used to do the roster changes in 2k and do the whole AAA, AA and A systems, but never the stances, etc. I do know how much time and effort it takes to do this and commend you all for taking on this project. I read here earlier about doing a donation to a charity. As I know the effort it takes I would more than willingly donate to whatever one you choose.

PS Knight my father is a retired Fire Fighter with over 30 years on the force in MA. Keep up the great work in NYC as I have the utmost respect for you and your brothers.
