Re: Full Minors Roster for '09

Here's the Indians AAA Columbus starting rotation:

    David Huff
    Kirk Saarloos
    Aaron Laffey
    Jack Cassel
    Jeremy Sowers

I don't think they've announced the rest of the roster yet

Oh and Trevor Crowe will wear #26 with the Tribe

Here's my same post with the Red Sox roster, with #'s added for players on the 40-man. Note that the minor leaguers only use those numbers in Boston, so you may or may not want to use them:

      CF #46 Jacoby Ellsbury
      2B #15 Dustin Pedroia
      DH #34 David Ortiz
      1B #20 Kevin Youkilis
      RF #7 J.D. Drew
      LF #44 Jason Bay
      3B #25 Mike Lowell
      SS #12 Jed Lowrie
      C #33 Jason Varitek

      C #16 George Kottaras
IF #22 Nick Green (until Lugo is healthy in mid-April)
1B/OF #54 Chris Carter (until Kotsay is healthy in early May)
      OF/DH #5 Rocco Baldelli

      Rotation:
#19 Josh Beckett, #31 Jon Lester, #18 Daisuke Matsuzaka, #49 Tim Wakefield, #36 Brad Penny

      Bullpen:
      CL #58 Jonathan Papelbon
      SU #63 Justin Masterson
      SU/MR #37 Hideki Okajima
      SU/MR #24 Takashi Saito
      MR #17 Manny Delcarmen
      MR #48 Javier Lopez
      MR #56 Ramon Ramirez

And here's my crack at the AAA and AA teams. I'm not sure how you're planning on doing this with regard to Major League injured guys (Lugo, Kotsay, Smoltz here), so I'll put them in AAA for now:

      AAA
      C #80 Dusty Brown (40)
      1B Jeff Bailey
      2B Gil Velazquez
SS #23 Julio Lugo (40)(or Ivan Ochoa)
      3B Angel Chavez
      LF Zach Daeges
CF #60 Jonathan Van Every (40)
      RF Chip Ambres
DH #11 Mark Kotsay (40) (or Brad Wilkerson)

SS Ivan Ochoa (or 2B Jeff Natale)
      C Carlos Maldonado
      OF Paul McAnulty

Rotation: #61 Clay Buchholz (40), #64 Michael Bowden (40), Charlie Zink, Kris Johnson, #29 John Smoltz (40) (or Enrique Gonzalez)
Bullpen: Daniel Bard (Top 100), #75 Hunter Jones (40), #43 Devern Hansack (40 - note the likely switch to the BP, which he's far more likely to help in the Majors at), Fernando Cabrera, Marcus McBeth, Billy Traber, Enrique Gonzalez (or one of Rocky Cherry/Chris George/Felix Rodriguez - if someone's in the game, feel free to sub, as Bard and Jones are the only important CAPs here)

Also, Rule 5 pick P #84 Miguel Gonzalez is on the 40-man, but he'll be out all year with TJ surgery. You could theoretically switch him in for one of the non-40 guys in AAA if you want.

      AA
      C #81 Mark Wagner (40)
      1B Lars Anderson (Top 100)
      2B Ryan Khoury
      SS #76 Argenis Diaz (40)
      3B Jorge Jimenez
LF Aaron Bates (moved from 1B)
      CF Bubba Bell
      RF Josh Reddick (top 100)
      DH Jon Still

      C Juan Apodaca
      IF Iggy Suarez
      OF Reid Engel

Rotation: Adam Mills, #86 Junichi Tazawa (40 - based on his spring, it looks like he might dominate AA), Travis Beazley, Ryne Lawson, #73 Felix Doubront (40)
Bullpen: Richie Lentz, Dustin Richardson, TJ Large, Blake Maxwell, Bryce Cox, Chad Rhoades, Chris Province

also, Jamey Carroll was placed on the 15 day DL and the Tribe called up Tony Graffanino

its a broken finger so i would imagine this will go another 15 days making graf remain on the big league roster for awhile

Yeah, that stinks for Carroll, he was hit by a pitch that broke a bone in his hand in his last AB of spring training Saturday.

Oh, on the Sox, I just remembered that Randor Bierd is already in the game. He can replace any of the AA relievers other than Lentz and Richardson.

Since Knight wants jersey #s, here's my blue jays post updated with #s and with the rest of the 40-man roster (I don't know the order or rotation for the minor league teams)

                                Batting Order
                                1) Marco Scutaro (SS) #19
                                2) Aaron Hill (2B) #2
                                3) Alex Rios (RF) #15
                                4) Vernon Wells (CF) #10
                                5) Adam Lind (DH/LF) #26
                                6) Scott Rolen (3B) #33
                                7) Lyle Overbay (1B) #35
                                8) Rod Barajas (C) #20
                                9) Travis Snider (LF/DH) #45

Snider & Lind will share both the LF and DH roles, but it appears Lind will be the primary DH and Snider the primary left fielder.

                                Bench
                                Kevin Millar (1B/OF) #30
                                Michael Barrett (C) #5
                                John McDonald (SS) #6
                                Jose Bautista (3B/IF) #25

                                Rotation
                                1) Roy Halladay (RHP) #32
                                2) Jesse Litsch (RHP) #51
                                3) David Purcey (LHP) #25
                                4) Ricky Romero (LHP) #24
                                5) Scott Richmond (RHP) #48

                                Bullpen
                                Scott Downs (LHP) #37
                                Shawn Camp (RHP) #57
                                Jesse Carlson (LHP) #39
                                Brandon League (RHP) #22
                                Jason Frasor (RHP) #54
                                Brian Tallet (LHP) #56
                                B.J. Ryan (RHP) #52

The rest of the 40-man roster

                                Infielders

                                Joe Inglett (2B/IF) #2

                                Pitchers
                                Jeremy Accardo #49
                                Casey Janssen #44
                                Dustin McGowan #29
                                Shaun Marcum #28

                                Bill Murphy #74
                                Luis Perez #67
                                Robert Ray #60
                                Davis Romero #50
                                Brian Wolfe #40

Strangely, the Jays site only lists those players above. That only totals 35 players. Also RED indicates DL. I would think that they would want more position players on the 40-man beyond just Joe Inglett.

The 51s site has an obviously incomplete roster for them, and New Hampshire's site seems like it might be a little out of date (I think I saw some names duplicated on both their site and Las Vegas'). Hopefully within a couple of days they'll fill things out more. but I'm not sure where I would find a proper pitching rotation or bullpen assignments for either (assuming I can get BOs from box scores). All I know is that Jeremy Accardo will be the AAA closer to start the season.

The only player I can think of off the top of my head who will need to be "misplaced" is Adam Loewen. He's on the 51s roster if I'm not mistaken, but he is starting the season in A-ball.
