Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Do not worry about MLB.TV too much. They just upgraded to a new version so we could get the games in HD. It looks like there are a lot of kinks, but I've been a subscribed since 2003 and at the beginning of the year there are always some issues. If you can wait it out a week or two it will be worth it.Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
If you have a digital camera, check to see if it has a flash card. If it doesn't hook up to your PS3 (like if your PS3 doesn't have flash card ports like mine does (I have a launch PS3) or its a different card that doesn't fit (like mine is xD))),
then just hook up your digital camera (or other device with storage) using the USB hookup.
Then you can just dump it on there by pulling up that "drive". Just FYI, so you don't have to spend money on a flash drive you might not need.Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
I don't understand why you are making such a big deal about this stat glitch to Knight. You do understand that Knight is doing this and expecting nothing in return??? If playing with rosters that don't have the stat glitch outweighs correct rosters with all the minor leaguers, then play with the ones without the glitch.
We all know about the stat glitch and we all wish it wasn't in the game, but to keep harping at the guy that's trying to make this game better for all of us is just flat out rude.Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Alright busy at work.....had a chance to read through the last few pages on lunch. This is confusing. The rosters are being released tonight, but only through a flash drive? Why not on Roster Vault, if not tonight, when? Thanks Knigh for the hard work. Any answer for this would be appreciated. Peace Out.

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Thanks Doc...I'm completely stupid when it comes to this stuff. Ok, here's what I have. I have a USB thing that holds my digital camera disk or card....whatever you call it. When I want put pics that are on my card on to my computer, I put the little disk in this thing I got and hook it into my USB port on my computer. So you're saying this will work for these rosters as well??
If your camera has a folder on the memory card where it stores your pictures, make sure you don't put the files in there. Also, just make sure you have enough space on your memory card (won't need too much).
Depending on how Knight zips the files, it may all be setup for you to just dump on your memory card, or put in a PS3 folder on your memory card. You will have to just check out the file structure after you unzip his file. (PS3>>SAVEDATA>>BLU???>>files, from what I remember off the top of my head) Somebody correct me if I misremembered (got that from Roger Clemens, never new it was a real word before, lol).
Then just take your USB card reader with flash card in it and plug it into your USB port on the PS3. Don't remember the exact steps from there, but basically you have to just copy the rosters over to your MLB saves folder (pressing triangle, copy, etc). If you don't have the file structure put in correctly on your memory card, the PS3 may not recognize the files, so that is important.
I think there are some instructions for callmetaternuts earlier on here as well that may be more detailed. I can post (or someone else can) exact detailed instructions tonight when I sit in front of my PS3 if anyone needs it.
EDIT: Look at Jims post below. Knight zips it all in the PS3 folder so you don't have to do anything except put it on your drive or memory card (no need to create PS3 and SAVEDATA folders).Comment

I think it may be because he wants to avoid all the confusion that goes along with posting "incomplete" roster files on the vault (God knows there is enough confusion here). At least if you download from here, you will read (or he hopes) what he has finished/hasn't finished, and will know what is going on.
Like I said, this is just speculation by me based on reading this thread, and only he could tell you for sure.Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Knight's roster will come in a zip file.
Unzip it to your desktop. It will say PS3.
DON'T DO ANYTHING TO THAT FOLDER, DON'T LOOK IN IT, DON'T OPEN IT, DON'T CHANGE ANYTHING, DON'T EVEN CHECK IT, LOL.
That's where some people have gone wrong. When Knight saves a roster file everything is included in the PS3 folder. He doesn't have to add anything it's just the way it comes out. I know last year guys were messing with the PS3 folder. Touch it and your children and pets will be plagued. (Well, not plagued, but hurt pretty bad).
Put that PS3 file on your flash drive and then plug it into the USB in your PS3.
With the game off go to SAVE DATE UTILITY and look above that for your flash drive.
Hit X and it will open it. You'll see the file. Hit TRIANGLE and save it to your hard drive.
Load the roster once in the game.Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Any roster file based on a roster pre 3-23 SCEA update has the career stats for players wrong/mixed up. Exampled Alex Rodriguez has 203 career home runs or something like that.
For anyone who actually plays multiple years in their franchise this means that any career milestones will be screwed up. A-Rod would never break the career HR record but someone else who got A-Rod's career stats might.Comment

I didn't know if Knight saved it all under the PS3 folder or not (couldn't remember).
Some people in the past on other games and this one have zipped the BLUxxx folder with the files in it, so you had to create the PS3 folder and then the SAVEDATA subfolder in it.
Side note: I don't recommend it, because you don't need to do it, but I have looked at the files in the BLUxx folder and have never had any problems or corrupted files by just looking at it. If you don't modify the files, it shouldn't matter. Inexperienced users (or people that don't want any problems whatsoever) should just leave well enough alone though, I agree.Comment

Re: Full Minors Roster for '09
Moemoe24, yes, it sure will. That is a USB flash card reader from the description. All you have to do tonight is download the zip file Knight posts, unzip it. Hook the USB flash card reader to your computer, and make sure the computer recognizes it (it should already if you have been putting pictures on your computer). On your memory card, you need a PS3 folder with a subfolder called SAVEDATA.
If your camera has a folder on the memory card where it stores your pictures, make sure you don't put the files in there. Also, just make sure you have enough space on your memory card (won't need too much).

1.go to the site that has this file. Right click the file and click save to my documents
2. Go to my documents and right click the file to unzip it
3. Insert my flash drive.....go back to my unzipped file and tell it to send this file to memory card
4. Take my flash drive and out it in my ps3 and copy the file to my ps3
Ok.......tell me where I'm wrongComment
