Same Here. I erased all MLB 09 related things off my PS3, put the game away until all this unpleasentness is either straightened out or explained well enough to me that I at least feel better about it. Picked up TW 09 and tried to relax with a nice game of golf. If that makes any sense.

yeh man this a shammockery and a little buffornery at it's best. I just dont understand anymore. I have played the phils and brett myers like 10 times in the opener. The thing that kills me is i had some great games with the braves. Jordan Schafer is a beast, my first game with him, i had a top of ninth grand slam with him and put me up 10-6 and won the game and now i have to forget about it. Also wassup with the stat glitch neway, college football had that roster issue and now this.

knight man. im confused. do you have rosters with line-up fix and the batting stances and pitchimg win-ups right?

i downloaded V2 but a lot of player had gen 1 stance.

Those are gonna be in version 3, which will come out soon according to Knight.

They did. The glitch is no more in the updated rosters, apparently.

knight man. im confused. do you have rosters with line-up fix and the batting stances and pitchimg win-ups right?

i downloaded V2 but a lot of player had gen 1 stance.

Strut is doing that version right now.
Probably tomorrow or Thursday.

They did. The glitch is no more in the updated rosters, apparently. That's the tough part. If the files are corrupted, things can be beyond repair other than to work with new files.

Sucks, but that's life at times. As I've said before, as much as I HATE the stats glitch (it really does bug the ever lovin' outta me) if it unfortunately has to come down to correct career stats or accurate rosters with full minor league updates, the updates have it.

I guess this is one time where I'm happy SCEA has just so-so career stat and record tracking...lol. Makes it much easier to deal with than if you had to see constant record book updates with the wrong numbers. Small consolation (if any), I know.

good brother they(scea) need to fix it so we can use knights older roster, the stat glitch is horrible, i played a game today and the news was about ryan church hitting his 500th homerun. They switched his stats with mr.sheffield.

Bummer i was wondering why it wasn't working thought I was doing something wrong.

Dave are u using glitch free rosters though? If so I wonder why we aren't able to replicate it.


I have almost no idea how PS3 patches work but i'm thinking that they would be able to put out a patch with each players stat data and have that overwrite the existing stat data. Have that hardcoded into the game and for franchise mode just have the code adjust as necessary for each hit, ab, hr, k, etc. I might be completely wrong though.

no, no...I agree. It's been a frustrating mess for sure.

The thing is though, as I understand it, the crashes have only been happening to people trying to continue pre-patch saves. This (unfortunately) falls under the same corrupt file theory. Not sure if that's 100% the case or not, but it's certainly plausible if it is.

Also not saying I don't think it sucks as much as anyone else...lol. This is the longest I've EVER gone without starting my franchise in a baseball game (other than when I used to attempt my own rosters) and I'm frustrated since I don't 100% know that it's safe to move forward and start up.

Hopefully Russell will have encouraging news soon (provided everything is okay with him and his family as he was/is apparently in the ER) and we can know how to progress.

This whole situation is a giant mess, and SCEA did indeed take it on the chin here. We'll see how it plays out, but their track record is far from bad. So I'm cautiously optimistic whatever can be done, will be (within reason). I'm also realistic enough to be able to handle it if the news comes that there's nothing more to be done.

I agree...it sucks. My point was simply that they've already addressed it and I'm sure if they could have found a direct way to get the roster maker's sets corrected as well, they would've given it a go.

To clarify, I'm not saying they shouldn't fix it, only that I'm not sure they can...

Great workaround!!! I wonder if you start a fronchise with the correct stats if they will still be correct in franchise after an update. Very possible! Could you test this for us? It would save Knight and Co. a LOT of work.

Bump...

What do I need to check to make sure what I've said is correct.

I'm using the patch (1.06), Knight's Full Minors 09 Version 2 and psychobulks v1.3 sliders and everything is working. The replays and vault replays are sweet. Lineups were the same in the boxscore after the game.
