Knight when will your set be out with the stats correct , the base set you found out you had ?

Whoo.....that is going to be a brutal run right there....That is nearly 1200 players to copy from one set to the other.
Granted, I'm not going to do the faces right away, but that is a lot of players!
I'm looking forward to it though. The experience...the practice...heck the workout my thumbs are going to get...can't think of ANYTHING I'd rather do..

Seriously, I have quite a bit to get everything else out and done first.
It'll be a while.

Hopefully Russell will have encouraging news soon (provided everything is okay with him and his family as he was/is apparently in the ER) and we can know how to progress.

I listed in my above post of the items I've installed in the game and all seems to be working. I want to make sure they will play out correctly. What historical glitch do I need to check in the game, too make sure I do have everything right.

Not sure. He mentioned in the patch thread that he couldn't get the update out to us today, as he was currently (meaning at the time of his post) in the ER.

I'm assuming he's likely fine if he's bothering with the likes of us from ER...lol...but I also would assume that whoever or whatever he's there for would rightfully take precedence over our trivial concerns at the moment. In any case, best wishes to Ramone!

Some historical stats are swapped between players....everything else is fine.

I have been doing some extensive testing tonight in regards to the lineup logic (while we have some time to hear back from Russell). I did a v2 vs. v3 test to see how the game (with the new patch) would treat the line-ups and box scores.

I have to say...you are the man! The line-up fix in v2 is more realistic than I originally thought--not only setting the line-ups, but also getting more realistitc stats.

First off, when you go into Franchise with whatever roster you load and adjust the rotations and lineups after spring training...everything WILL stick. The difference though is if you go into the box scores of played games you will notice that even though you have Sizemore leading off...Choo still played lead-off in the game anyway and many games more than you think. Obviously the logic won't override your intinitial roster order until someone needs rest and changes the order around, but once it does...I found that once the players rested...that lineups returned back to your original intentions much more faster (in less games) and the accuracy in some cases is spot-on.

Here is an example....I started with v3 first. After I simmed the rest of the season, Choo had way too many at-bats and runs scored (playing more of a lead-off role). But when I did the same thing for v2...Sizemore leads-off a significant amount more than I originally had thought. Also Ichiro had great results too.

Here is some of the data:
v3 Sizemore: batted lead-off only 9 of 30 games in the month of May.
He had 147 runs, 49 HR's (way too many), and 142 RBI's (way too many)
vs.
v2 Sizemore: batted lead-off 23 of 30 games in the month of May
He had 102 runs, 19 HR's (more realistic), and 91 RBI's (much more realistic)

v3 Ichiro: batted lead-off only 16 of 29 games in the month of May
vs.
v2 Ichiro: batted lead-off 28 out of 29 games in the month of May!


So what I am pleased to see is not only are the lineups more accurate with v2 (with your magic touch but because of that the stats are more realistic too.

Do not assume that because the lineups are the way they are in roster control are not how the CPU is simming the games.

Also you will have to reorganize your roster in Sept...for Sept call-ups...jumbles everything around again.

I'm interested in how the lineup fix effects gameplay? Because the first thing I noticed after downloading the first lineup with the fix was the fact that Matt Diaz (A slow player) was faster than Yunel Escobar or even Jordan Schafer. It's annoying to have a teams lineup all mixed up, but more annoying if Matt Diaz is turning doubles into triples.

I haven't played with the brand new lineups because I was waiting for the nonlineup fix version but don't want stock version either. Guess that roster will be the last to come.

Knight, what would be the chances of sending SCEA your roster and they try to fix the stat glitch? I know thats alot to ask of them but they seem as though they cared enough to speak to you in advance. Maybe?

I don't think you're looking at the right rosters.
I don't believe I edited any of those guys.
I'm pretty sure their SCEA defaults were Diaz 60....Schafer 70....Escobar 56(7?maybe)...
