The options are current year, career stats and weighted. For rookies, how many at bats is the minimal that they should have before I change any of their attributes? I know a lot of them on the game get called up and then sent back down throughout the year in the majors so idk what number of at bats are needed . . . what do you recommend?

Re: Knights End of Season Set
argh....again this is a tricky process b/c not all the players in knight's set need to be f'ed with, only scea major league vets (most all of them have topps picture) & scea created rookies need editing done. its tricky...Knight did a great job with all of the minor leaguers and i believe he used the rostertools program to get their attributes...
i'd hold off with anything man, if yyhy shows up then he shows up but i think i'm about done unless i can get this program started on my laptop...I've done a lot on this set, i pretty much know every player that knight created and those scea did and the discrepancies...problem is i really didn't want to put the work in, and when yyhy stepped in saying he could do this i put all of my work on this game on vacation and put other things in my life ahead of this wonderful game...Comment

Re: Knights End of Season Set
So let's say for instance I do decide to edit players with current years stats, should I just do ones that actually have a picture?"Hate my game, hate my swagger, my hunger. Hate that I'm a veteran, a champion. Hate that, hate it with all your heart...

Re: Knights End of Season Set
Gentlemen,
Ive said a few times that Im willing to pitch in if this is going to be the case and the start date last we communicated was tommorrow until pimpin said he would give it a go weighted today. Im gonna do a division (AL East) tonight using an average of 07-08-09 ON PAPER (at first) please be advised that it is going to being to be labor intensive doing this method. The program only does 3 year weighted, career, and individual year. Being that you are gonna have to click through each individual year, jot down the numbers then use a good ole fashioned calculator to get the 3 year average per rating. Then Ill take the paper and transfer these numbers into the game probably tommorrow morning. Thats why I said originally its gonna take a little awhile to do this. I dont know any other method of doing it other than this unless you just wanna do this years numbers. Either way im gonna start crunching numbers tonight. Keep me posted with any ideas.OS Longtime Lurker - Extremely occasional OS Poster

Re: Knights End of Season Set
Knight, after a lot of review and the off season on my side I have some notes for you. I decided to make Nick Noonan a little better than he currently is in the game. His name has come up a few times within the last few days and SF's stance on him tells me that they think as high of him now as they did when they drafted him in his respective position. Also, Ethan Martin RHP LAD minor league has a very good bat and his attributes do not reflect this. He was a HR derby winner at Aflac in SD. I witnessed his raw power and bat and the only reason he signed as a pitcher was because he can dial it up to 95 with ease. Many teams saw him as a C or 3B.
David Nick and Matt Davidson need to be added to ARI as they are top prospects and fit nicely in there with Borchering.
Nolan Arenado - SS/C COL needs to be added. I know we discussed this before, but I think you were running out of spots.
Thats all I can think of right at the moment, but I wanted to let you know. Its a cold day here in Indy and I cant wait to get back to Cali!
Any word on the event?Last edited by ksig24; 12-09-2009, 07:40 PM.Comment

Re: Knights End of Season Set
Rudy,
I think just the end of year, no transactions afterwards (but I would love to see Curtis on my Yanks).
I have 2 teams done NY and Boston (for the most part) with 3 year averages on a spreadsheet. It is more time consuming than I thought but not to the point of annoying. Gonna continue to work on these tonight.OS Longtime Lurker - Extremely occasional OS Poster

Curtis is a great guy on and off the field. He'll be great in NY. His only weakness is hitting lefties. Hopefully he can still improve upon that but you guys will love him. Still can't believe we traded him. It really sucks.Comment

Re: Knights End of Season Set
Yeah, actually Im going down the line with the database ratings but some have no bearing it seems like arm power and accuracy. Plus there are some discrepencies. Victor Martinez for instance was hurt most of 08 so his power numbers generate at pow rt 17 and pow lt 29. That when plugging them into the average gives him pow rt 42 and pow lt 49 for 3 year avg. Now while hes no prolific home run hitter those are low, he should be in the high 50's low 60's for both.OS Longtime Lurker - Extremely occasional OS Poster

Well, whenever this thing is done, I'll even take a stab at some roster moves.
